Sheol Nugganoth (21 March - 20 April) Lord of the Wood. First recorded appearance: “Idle Days on the Yann,” by Lord Dunsany. Often associated with the Black Goat of the Woods with a Thousand Young.
Hastur (21 April - 21 May) The Unspeakable One. First recorded appearance: “Haita the Shepherd,” by Ambrose Bierce. Often associated with the King in Yellow.
Nug & Yeb (22 May - 21 June) The Twin Blasphemies. First recorded appearance: “The Mound,” by Zealia Bishop and HP Lovecraft. Spawn of Sheol Nugganoth and Yog-Sothoth. Nug is a parent of Cthulhu.
Zhothaqquah (22 June - 22 July) Lord of the Formless. First recorded in “The Tale of Satampra Zeiros,” by Clark Ashton Smith. Often transliterated as Tsathoggua. Spawn of Yeb.
Ulthura Yon (23 July - 22 Aug) The Howler from the Stars. First recorded appearance: Unasussprechliche Kulton, by Friedrich Wilhelm von Junzt. A spawn of Yog Sothoth.
Ghatanothoa (23 Aug - 23 Sept) The Gorgon. First recorded appearance: “Out of the Aeons,” by HP Lovecraft. First-born of Cthulhu.
Yog Sothoth (24 Sept - 23 Oct) The Lurker at the Threshold. First recorded appearance: The Case of Charles Dexter Ward, by HP Lovecraft.
Yig (24 Oct - 22 Nov) Father of Serpents. First recorded appearance: “The Curse of Yig,” by Zealia Bishop and HP Lovecraft.
Nodens (23 Nov - 21 Dec) Lord of the Great Abyss. First recorded appearance: “The Strange High House in the Mist,” by HP Lovecraft. Often associated with the Great God Pan.
Nyarlathotep (22 Dec - 20 Jan) The Crawling Chaos. First appearance: “Nyarlathotep,” by HP Lovecraft. A servant of Azathoth.
Cthulhu (21 Jan - 19 Feb) The Great Dreamer. First recorded appearance, “The Call of Cthulhu,” by HP Lovecraft.
Dagon (20 Feb - 20 March) The Fish God. First recorded appearance: “Dagon,” by HP Lovecraft, or possibly as early as 2500 BCE, in extant records from the Mari people in Syria. Lord of the Deep Ones.
