Wanted to do something special for my dumb rat couple SOOO here’s a lil comic! This takes place pre-The Undergrounders episode so they’re in their silly pining era 🤭

My (basically canon) headcanon is that Scott had LOTS of ideas for the underground that the rest of the group immediately dismissed. He wasn’t taken seriously at all unless he consistently badgered the others about something he really wanted. Marley was different though, she always heard him out and even liked his ideas! She admired how passionate and creative he was 💞 Scott appreciated her reassurance a lot. She was the first person who really heard him and it was so refreshing for him.

In short? They had it BAD for each other.

YEAH SOO on Percy’s quest for information on the aliens, they meet Wacko Wally. He promises them information about the aliens and Percy is ECSTATIC about this. He begins spending time with him in hopes of learning the secret. Wacko is incredibly cryptic about it though and Percy gets frustrated w/ him and thinks he’s lying about having a connection with the aliens. That, or he’s a nut.

Despite this though, Wacko always ropes her back in. He reeaaaallly strings out the information he gives to them mostly because he doesn’t want to give away what he knows BUT also bc he wants to keep him around 🤭 Percy warms up to Wacko over time bc he’s a steady source of information but also she generally likes him!

Hamster and Gretel OC! 🛸

Percy is a conspiracy theorist who works freelance as a paranormal investigator. Their theories are never believed by anyone though, so they’re usually regarded as crazy. He’s 100% correct though, as there ARE aliens in the world who’ve been bestowing powers to basically anyone. Percy is the only one who’s been attentive enough to track these findings though…

Her prime research subjects are obviously Hamster & Gretel themselves! Kevin + H&G learned to live with this though and over time they form a casual relationship with them. Kinda like an estranged uncle who studies you intently is the best way I’d describe it. They all share their findings about the aliens with each other & try to peace together the mystery 👽

Sooo after Miles left LOVEMUFFIN he was pretty much working for himself, pumping out inventions to the public. His work caught the eye of Bob Block and they formed a… business relationship of sorts *wink wink nudge nudge*

Dynamo is technically an evil scientist, but he’s more morally grey than that? He formally worked for LOVEMUFFIN to show his prowess, but due to him not being very social and overall not relating to the other members evil plans, he left to continue his work alone.

Miles is someone who wants to make a big name for himself. He wants to feel important so he throws himself into his work. He’s a perfectionist and will prioritize experiments over his own well being.

He views himself as superior to most people and struggles to relate to others because he’s subconsciously shut himself out from the world all his life. Deep down though, he craves human interaction </3

It’s basically the same sort of ordeal but like. there’s actually tension between a guy’s best friend and his girlfriend wanting time with him.

the entire episode would basically be Doof & Marley trying to one-up each other and get the other out of their way (Doof wanting Scott to be his adventure buddy, Marley wanting to spend time with her boyfriend)

Ultimately they DO resolve their differences by the end and become good friends! may draw more for this concept bc I think about their dynamic a bit 🧐
