Welcome to my blog!

I am TME, white, USAmerican and perisex. Please inform me if I do something offensive or overstep.

I’m a disabled hijabi who is trying to get their life together. I wanted a place to post about my disabilities and cpunk. I hope this can be a space where I am able to continue in my perpetual journey of learning about myself and the world around me.

My main blog is @closetedangel but please avoid messaging me on there if you are a man. Messages on this blog should only relate to this blog. If I receive one more message from a Muslim man asking for marriage I will lose even more of my mind.

Sometimes verbalizing English or typing in English can be hard due to disability reasons. In those times, I tend to write my words in a way more accessible to me.

I might accidentally reblog posts without ID’s on the images. I try to go back and add an ID or not reblog them at all.

I cannot add audio captions to videos most times. If I reblog audio and it does not have a caption, I too do not know what is being said in it. If I reblog an audio with incorrect captions, I do not know that the captions are incorrect.

I’ll update this post when I think of more to say.

Idk what was more traumatizing: being raped so many times and finding out it happened after, when I was no longer in an episode, or being reported to my mosque leadership for talking about it. Being investigated while I was recovering from serial rape, psychosis, abuse.

Or worrying for weeks about if it meant I was pregnant

While being homeless because my ex wife left me for my rapist

While going through a divorce because my wife left me for my rapist

Only for my ex wife to come back and say oh! This woman who raped first wife! Yeah! She’s an abuser!

The mosque was a cult btw. It was 100% a cult and I had been taken on as leadership to run social media because I did not realize I was being sucked into a cult. I was reported to my cult leadership for talking about how I was raped (I did not name her or at all indicate it could’ve been her) and I got full on investigated and interrogated about the circumstances of my rapes and told I shouldn’t be allowed to date.

btw if all you are doing as a physically disabled person is survive, you're worthy of being here as much as everyone else. even if you can't work, make art, or leave your home. even if you don't see anything beyond your bedroom and phone screen. even if you gain or lose weight, or your appearance otherwise changes because of your disability. even if you aren't awake or aware most of the time. you being here is enough to contribute to the world. i love you

seeing "protect the action figures" as a response to "Protect the dolls" is maybe the most insulting thing I've ever seen, to both trans men and trans women.

First of all, the term "protect them dolls" exists because trans women, and especially trans women of color, are killed disproportionally. you are literally "all lives matter"-ing this. Secondly, can we stop this stupid fucking trend of giving gay/trans men the worse version of something that already exists for women?

audism is the fact that in the US cops are only legally obligated to provide an interpreter after a Deaf person is detained. this results in many Deaf people being murdered by the state for not understanding instructions at things as simple as traffic stops.

many cops make no effort to use alternative communication with Deaf people even after we have identified ourselves as Deaf.

audism is also the fact that our signing is considered threatening and something that warrants murder. audism is the fact that our signing is labeled as gang signs and is used to justify murdering us. (and, for the record, actual gang signs also don't justify murder)

audism is the way Deaf people are accused of lying to "get out of things" when we identify ourselves as Deaf.... which is then used to deny us accommodations like interpreters or written communication.

audism is the fact that multiple Deaf people (mostly unhoused) have been murdered in my city alone in the last 5 years under the premises of "refusing to follow instructions" and "threatening hand gestures" and "gang signs." audism is the fact that Deaf people (and especially multiply marginalized Deaf people such as Black Deaf people) disproportionately experience police brutality even when it isn't lethal.

it’s such a basic part of the reality of disabled people as a whole but it’s STILL so hard to get ppl to understand that some people will simply die without 24/7 care. their care is not for comfort, it’s not for fun, it’s literally a matter of life and death. “if their care was taken away i’m sure they’d learn to suck it up like the rest of us!” – something ive heard time and time again. no they wouldn’t, they would die. they HAVE died. they continue to die as cuts are made to welfare and health. why is this so impossible for people to grasp.

saw a post arguing that trans*ndrophobia should exist as a term even though other types of men do not get their own unique terms (ie, black men do not get a counterpart term to misogynoir, etc), and that the reason for this is because "discrimination against transmascs is more complex and nuanced than against cis male minorities" and that's gotta be one of the whitest, most birthday boy ass sentences ever conceived.

Just to be clear here, if you are TME and you are fantasizing about being TMA because we're "so transgressive", stop that line of thought. TMA folks die for those transgressions, and even those of us who don't die of it are punished to the point of extreme trauma for it. You can fantasize about it because you can, from outside, view the benefits of transgression without experiencing the negative consequences of it. It is EXTREMELY offensive to be painted as "so lucky" for something which has left me afraid to exist freely. It's like if you saw me complaining about my disability and said "Wow, you're so lucky that you have a disability, I'd love for people to fawn over me!", not only are you ignoring the massive negatives, but you're assuming a positive that doesnt really exist. So fuck off

I don't even care why someone is an addict. I don't care about if they're traumatized, or mentally ill, or disabled, or if they had no control over their situation. they could've walked into their addiction with eyes wide open & they could wake up every morning with zero desire to recover or make any change. I don't care. they still deserve basic respect & they deserve the ability to care for themselves & either seek recovery or not in a safe way. they have the right to do whatever they want with their own body & do it without undo risk. they're fucking human beings & that's all that matters.
