Hey howdy hey! It’s been awhile hasn’t it? Sorry for the sudden dip! Between watching out my own mental health, being an apparent “essential” worker, and trying to get acquainted with a “new norm” madness at work a majority of my blogs had to sit on the back burner for a bit. But i’m excited to sweep a little dust here and write my son again! (I’ve missed him so. ESPECIALLY since i’ve got him on my own island now!)

I’ll be clearing my ask box and any threads I had going. Unless someone wants to continue any that had been started, just message me and let me know! Can’t wait to write with many of you!

You might wonder what happens when Raymond misplaces his glasses...it never happens. He’s got a back up pair. And his back up pair has a back up pair. And his back up back up pair has a back up back up BACK UP pair. He’s always ready for the inevidible.... His glasses are more than just his self proclaimed brand, but he actually does need them to see.

At home he has all of his pairs of glasses displayed on shelves. To others it may seem ridiculous and excessive... ESPECIALLY since they ALL look the same but each one of those pairs of glasses has its own purpose.... there’s a pair for dance performances, shopping, long walks on the beach, mid afternoon naps.....and they’re never out of place. If they are he WILL know and it’ll make his hairs stand on end.

IF there ever IS a moment where he doesn’t have his glasses, you’ll never see it. He will hide. He will cover his face. He will be immensely dramatic and go as far as covering his head with any nearby cloth. The coolest cat around self conscious over his heterochromia? He won’t let you guess it. He doesn’t leave the house until has glasses on. If he successfully pulls himself away from work to begin with.

Reaching forward, Lee dusted off the front, helping stretch out any creases. Then, they grinned, clapping their hands together a few times enthusiastically once Raymond had fitted himself into it. “It suits you! I knew it would. You usually look good in that business casual stuff, Raymond!”

“Awh. You’re too kind, crisp. It is my brand after all. Nothing brings out my eyes better than a pressed suit and tie!” Raymond’s blush promptly morphs away into to him, yet again hitting a triumphant stance. Paw at his hip and chest puffed out for his new sweater vest to shine.

“But, I in fact, can’t take this kind gift for free my friend. It wouldn’t be fair with how fine it’s quality of work is! Here. This is 3,948 Bells. Treat yourself to something kind! Go back inside and buy one of your own to your flavor! Or—! ” His ears perk up. “You try on something else akin to your brand! That way I can see what your style is and buy you a gift next time!”

I genuinely have no headcanon as to why Raymond drops cat punned words when he talks I just do it because I think it’s a cute friendly reminder that he’s a cat while endorsing my love for cat puns and how at every oppurrtunity I WILL abuse them.

“Bravo! Bravo!” The cat cheers, enthusiastically clapping for his neighbor. In the midst of Horizon’s flower fields his ear had caught a voice that lead him right to Lolly. While he was a cat always ready to bask in the spotlight, it was nice when he could see the spotlight shine over others too. 

“That was wonderful! Magnificent! Marvelous! In fact... In fact I think you just might be the one... the one i’ve been searching the world for...” Dramatically his paws cross over his chest, holding onto his moved heart. Yes, there could be no other! She was purrfect! “There’s no one else that I can see to portray the role of the idyllic maiden described in the latest script for my audition. The world must know your name!” And then it hits him...even he didn’t even know her name. He’d been so enthused by her vocals it slipped his mind to ask. “But please, tell me your name first. The world can’t hear about it until I know.”

“Ah, Mr. Nook, sir.” A purr came with Raymond’s returned greeting, the tip of the feline’s tail fondly swaying as he acknowledged the other. Mr. Nook was such a nice fellow. A very busy fellow, admirably knowledgeable in his field of work, but never too busy to offer any sort of accommodation if the need called for it. “Everything has been quite superb thus far, indeed. It’s even better than I initially imagined when first hearing of your getaway package. I’ve never been so inspired by such scenic views and pleasant company. My neighbors are quite kind. I do say, with no doubts, you must be absolutely purroud at the booming success of your business venture. If I may, what in fact, lead you to the idea of hosting an island getaway for others?”
