“Everyone knows our name because of me. The prototype has been improved upon. No one needs the template any more.” The words barely bothered her, a dismissive wave of her hand as she spoke, velvet words slipping out of painted lips with ease. The slight hint of a smirk. Drinking in the other’s attention like a starved child, however poor. ”Wrong, again.”
Our name? So naive. It's almost endearing. "I wouldn't be so quick to jump the gun- but you've already done that." Any improvement that had been utilized was either a success or a failure and with the given record, a chance of success was slim.
Carla wanted her attention, and she had gotten it. For how long though was the question, and given the spy's elusive nature, she'd be long gone before interest was lost. A way to postpone their game for a while longer.
"Then do enlighten me. I just hate being left in the dark."
I’ll see you… D E A D.

Do us all a favour and go.
"And what is it that has gotten you all riled up this evening, Carla?"
"It'd be a foolish mistake to think that you could actually care."
Since you're getting old, I got an appointment for you to get some work done.
I've got a present for you.
"You don’t know? I’m disappointed in you.”
Spoken sweetly, eyes fixed, staring at - staring through. No longer a vessel for a man’s dirge, rising like lady Lazarus; fine silk and dark eyes, self-loathing and self-worship wrapped up in a pretty package. “I’d ask you to guess, but you’re too old to be playing games.”
"With you, it's hard to say."
"But then again, should I expect so much from a mediocre clone?" Adding salt to an already open wound, the words were spit venomously; hand on her hip in a defiant manor. Saying she was too old was merely a slap on the wrist, no damage done- though now there was almost a smile on her lips, or rather smug grin.
"It seems I'm not the only one still playing games."
Between myself and myself. I scratch like a cat. The blood that runs is dark fruit - An effect, a cosmetic.
"Almost? Colour me flattered. It isn’t like you to think of anyone but yourself. Though, I suppose really, you aren’t.”
"And I suppose you'd know all about that wouldn't you, Carla?" The name fell easily from glossed lips, almost as though it had been repeated time and time again- and maybe it had been.
"--What is it you're after this time? Chaos, revenge, or a new name for yourself?"
"I gotta say, I almost missed having you around- but fortunately for you, you didn't stay dead long enough."
I act and react, and suddenly I wonder -
