Delia rolled her eyes fondly at the way Ivy repeated her words. It was easy to forget how young she was sometimes and she wasnât about to tell her off for that. âYouâd best eat up then before I change my mind.â She answered giving a bright laugh at the acronym. âNow that one I havenât heard before.âÂ
Taking another large bite of the pastry Ivy wiggled her eyebrows at the other with a cheeky smirk, Delia was more like her mother than pretty much anyone in her life. Which wasnât the worst thing, Ivy loved her mother, she just couldnât live in a house with her anymore but that was for other reasons. âIâm eating!â She managed through the mouthful, wondering if it was too big considered just how nauseous she was feeling. âI like to keep things fresh, I wager I could say a shit load of things to you that you havenât heard before, D.â
THOUGH MARIA COULD TELL by the look in her friendâs face that ivy had had a long night , she was happy the girl came . it mustnât have been easy â after all , it was still early & maria doubted the other girl had gotten much rest ; still , it meant sheâd made an effort to come , to keep  her promise .  while she didnât want to stick her nose into ivyâs personal affairs , maria liked to keep an eye on the other girl in any way she could . even if through something as simple as a brunch meeting .  â maybe it is  a little early , but iâm really happy you came , ivy ! do you know what youâre going to order ? â  she inquired , excitement evident in her tone .  â iâm thinking about having myself a little croissant & maybe a latte âŠÂ oh , by the way , do you want my coat ? â  she offered while reaching for the beige colored coat resting on her lap , â itâs okay , iâm not actually feeling cold  so i probably wonât need it . âÂ
Rubbing her eyes with a fist Ivy tried to keep them open, because there was no point in getting up and out if she wasnât going to make the most of her time with Maria. Okay âmake the most ofâ was a strong way to put it, Ivy would be pleased if she even remembered part of it. âWhat Iâm going to order? Is there coke on the menu?â Pausing to allow Maria to potentially start answering before waving a hand to stop her. âNo no, I mean cocaine not the drink, but it was just a joke, kind of. Um, I might get pancakesâŠwith a shit load of whipped cream.â When she didnât get her fix she would get skittish, eyes darting across the menu even as they carried on talking with each other. âYour coat? No, thatâs a really ⊠thatâs a light colour and Iâm pretty sure Iâm going to spill something down myself any second so it might be better if you keep it on your won lap. So whatâs new with you? Did you go out last night?â Maybe she could steer the conversation onto something she was better at talking about. âWait, are you working today?â
âTHATâS WHY I FUCK with you, ivy.â maureen informed the girl with a playful smile, but it was the truth, having someone who kept it real with her was very much needed, even if she was stirring up some trouble as far as resisting old vices. nevertheless, she had fun with ivy, they could just be reckless and wild and not have a care in the world together. reaching over to take the sketchbook, she thumbed through it until she saw a cute little pair of cherries, âthese would look fucking cute, i like the whole vintage look.â maureen told her friend, cheek still resting on her palm as she handed the book back with a sigh, nodding her head, âlife can really be such a bitch sometimes, it just keeps spinning and spinning and you just hang on as tight as you can. itâs sort of bullshit.â
âYou shouldnât fuck with me baby, Iâll fuck you twice as hard.â Ivy cackled, not meaning it literally, unless of cause Maureen showed interest becauseâŠwell the girl was hot and she wasnât going to deny that to herself. Had she stopped to think about it for a second sheâd realise that since coming into the girls life sheâd probably done more harm than good, but then again Ivy just didnât care. She lived her life to forget these days and the only foolproof way for her to do that was drugs, partying, and general recklessness. Obviously she was going to take a few people on the journey with her, that was justâŠ.science. âYeah they would be hella cute on you, what about if I put them on the inside of your wrist? Or maybe behind an ear? Theyâd look better somewhere more âdelicateâ than if I smacked them on your asscheek. It would just end up making you look like you had a huge ass.â She chuckled, starting to pull out a bit of transfer paper to trace the pattern onto. âLife is the biggest bitch babe, you can hold off if you want, or you can do enough coke that you forget youâre even on the fucking ride, right? Whatâs going down in your world?â
âOi watch your language or Iâll take it back.â Delia said with a small frown. Sheâd never actually take it away but still she couldnât let the swearing go as she passed over the food. It wasnât a lot but it would do, hopefully. âYou know Iâm not very good with acronyms, whats a swilf?â
âOi watch your language or Iâll take it back.â Ivy repeated in a high pitched voice, at the end of the day the girl was still effectively a child which was why she could behave like one occasionally. Despite having had to grow up fairly quickly. âDonât take it back, Iâm hungry as hell.â Letting out a cackle she took a sip of the coffee, wiggling her eyebrows. âSome woman Iâd like to fuck. And donât tell me to take the swears back because you asked me what I meant, I was only answering your question.â Was she amused sheâd got to say it after just having been told off? Yes, she had.
LETTING OUT A TINY laugh as ivy made a comment, maureen couldnât help but roll her eyes over to her, âtattoos are hot, i donât think iâm a girl who would want a sleeve but a couple scattered around add a little something extra. i really dig it.â she explained as she tapped her thigh for the location she was wanting this one on today, humming as she propped her head up on her palm as she watched ivy. meeting the girl at a night club during one of her first outings was like fate, and while the girl had dug up some bad habits from her past that maureen caught herself dipping back into, she did think the girl was a great person. âeh, you know, just wanting to feel somethingâŠlife has really been kicking my ass.âÂ
âToo fucking right they are, especially the ones I give you baby, you know Iâm never going to steer you wrong.â Ivy grinned, pushing some dark hair off her face as she sat back in her chair and crossed her arms, kicking her combat booted feet onto another nearby stool casually. Glancing down at Maureenâs thigh with a nod. Grabbing her sketchbook she flipped through a couple of pages, opening it up onto one where sheâd done a load of smaller drawings of tattoos, maybe there would be something there the girl would like. âTake a look at those and let me know if anything sparks your interest.â Wanting to feel something, god if she couldnât relate to that hardcore. Thatâs why she had ended up addicted to drugs in the first place. âYouâre preaching to the god damn choir on that one, trust.â
Janis felt more relaxed in this little room then she did in most places, letting her self sink into the other chair in the small room. Janis chuckled softly and waved her hand through the hair, dismissing Ivyâs worries. âNot that kind of weird. I just had lunch with someone who challenged me as an artist. It made me think deeper and made my art better. Thus all the..â Janis motioned at sketchbook of hers that Ivy examined. Grinning as she propped up her chin with hand. âIvys, darling, babe. Your art is gorgeous, if anything Iâm the one spoiled rotten.â Janis said, tilting her head as she looked at her thigh. Measuring with her hands, showing about the size of her hands. âSo big?â Janis said with a sheepish smile, she mat be an artist but she really was used to flying by the seam of her pants. Scale wasnât her specialty.Â
âChallenged me as an artist, good lord, youâre getting all jumped up on me now eh? Sorry I donât challenge you as an artist, Iâm just a lowly fucking tattoo artist.â The raven haired woman scoffed, not meaning it seriously, after all she didnât think highly enough of her skills to be big headed enough to think sheâd challenge anyone even slightly. âMmmâŠ.keep flattering me, youâre not getting a discount but Iâd be lying if I didnât say itâs buttering me up.â Shooting Janis a cheeky wink as she appraised the size she was indicating on her thigh, nodding to show she understood. âNothing too small then, youâre not being a pussy on me today, I like it. What about if we do some black block birds coming out of the greyscale side as well? Would look pretty cool I think.â Her pencil was already moving against the heavy sketching paper, swipes of charcoal being left in its wake, one eye slightly narrowed as she focused.

âThereâs my favourite tattoo artist.â Delia grinned as she Ivy walk into the courtyard of their buildings. They might not live in the same block but Delia always made an effort to look out for the younger woman, which is why she had an extra pastry from her breakfast and a cup of tea waiting beside her when she spotted her. âI wasnât sure if youâd eaten today so I got food.â
Looking up as the older woman approached her Ivy gave her a lazy grin, standing up from where she was sat on the wall in the courtyard, battered combat boots still untied. âFuck off, you brought me food? Youâre too good to me sometimes, damn. What we got?â Peering at the bag even though she was pale and probably looked like she was going to vomit at some point the woman was hungry. She wasnât jonesing for a fix too badly just yet but no doubt that would come on her soon enough. âHow are things? Still looking like a swilf i see.â
âWho decided this was a good idea? This was not a good idea.â Ivy was looking pale, her skin was pasty and eyes sunken, which was the remnants of a heavy night the night before. Still she had agreed to meet Maria for a brunch coffee and maybe putting something in her stomach would help her feel a little better. Or maybe it would just be the weed sheâd smoked before coming out that had made her feel so chilled. Jury was still out. Throwing herself down at the cafe table she let out a huffing breath, like a sour teenager. Rubbing a hand across her face she tried to pull herself together, it wouldnât be fun if she was being a wet blanket the whole hangout session. âI havenât been up and out of the house this early since the last time I went to church, and that was fucking years ago.â Ivy murmured under her breaht. @absinthecismâ
Janis was a particular type of artist, she worked with canvas and sometimes sculpture, beyond that was often a mystery to her. The largest human organ aka skin, completely out of her wheelhouse. But god did Janis love tattoos. Her collection was mostly confined to her back currently. Luckily she had an amazing tattoo artist who always seemed to be able to take Janisâs weird paper sketches and turning them into something wonderful that always looked amazing on her skin. Walking into the small side room, Janis grinned âGuess what Ivy, I had this weird lunch but then like a shit ton of inspiration and I need something on my bodyâ Janis flipped through the notebook and landed on a simple flower surrounded by thorns. âIâm thinking thigh this time?â
@crossmeivyâ
Ivy was sat in her section of the tattoo parlour with a bag of crisps and her sketchbook just passing the time on her lunch break. Okay actually that had finished about half an hour ago, but itâs not like anyone here checked very often and her next client wasnât for a little over an hour. If she was working on designs that could be used by other artists then really they had no reason to complain. Hearing the bell over the door go off the girl glanced up, breaking out into a lazy grin when she saw her favourite fellow artist sauntering in, waving a notebook in her general direction. âWeird lunch? Okay, it better not be weird like making you ill because I donât need to you mess my tattoo table. Show me what youâve got for me today.â Looking down at the sketch she nodded, shrugging a shoulder and turning to her own sketchbook so she could adapt it into something that could be put on her thigh. âLove that, how big do you want it? Thigh is a pretty big canvas. Youâre fucking spoiling me babe.â
Ever since they had bonded not long after Maureen moved to London, Ivy had seen her at least a couple of times a week. Sometimes at one of their houses, occasionally at the tattoo shop, more often at a nearby strip club, but whatever the place they would indulge in bad habits and dangerous activities. Today she had the raven haired beauty in her chair while she drew a design that had been selected onto inked transfer paper, brow furrowing just a little in concentration. âYouâre going to end up as Maureen the tattooed lady if you keep letting me scribble on you like a doodle pad, lucky for you I nail it every time though.â She smirked cockily, shooting the other a cheeky wink. âWhat brought this one on?â @freczeyourbrainâ
âÊŸâ â° India Eisley, cisfemale, she/her â± i think i just saw IVY ROBINSON walk across trafalgar square, singing to WHEN DID YOUR HEART GO MISSING? Forth baby, Iâm a glutton for punishment but when Ivy came up what was I meant to do?! She is one of my faves, also Iâve loved her ever since I saw Bare at the Vaults in London cos the actress was A* times a million.  Anyway! Time to get onto introducing my problematic little bean below. Sorry in advance for her, if you thought Heather Chandler was a mess youâve got a whole other thing coming.
Drug tw, abortion tw, needles tw
Born in ââ into a very catholic family it was no surprise that Ivy was instantly pulled into the faith, not that she had much of a choice.
The girl liked having something to guide her life and was on the whole a good girl growing up. She went to mass, did all her school work, go good grades, and made friends (mostly).
When she turned sixteen Ivy got a little more of a rebellious streak and started to experiment with drugs and drinking, having a particular liking for the former. She spiralled a little bit into becoming a party girl who would sneak out of the boarding school she attended to go to raves.
Thanks to her looks Ivy was incredibly popular with the male members of her school and played up to that fact, enjoying the cat and mouse game, baiting them until they finally caved to her whims before backing off completely and going no further.
That was until she met Jason. He seemed so out of her realm that Ivy just had to have him in every way, shape, and form.
After playing cat and mouse with the man for months she finally managed to lure him to her, not entirely sure why it had taken so long, and the two ended up having sex after a party held by one of their school friends. Sure Ivy felt guilt about that, but in the moment it had been exactly what she wanted and in the girlâs head the two were going to start dating in the aftermath.
Nothing could be further from the truth, while on Christmas break Ivy found out she was pregnant, imploring Jason to help her in some way. In the end his parents were so mortified by their sonâs actions, as was Ivyâs single mother, that they paid for her to get an abortion the girl never really wanted in the first place. Sheâd always wanted to be a mother and even if it had come sooner than expected sheâd still wanted the child, but that would bring shame on their very religious families, so the pregnancy was terminated.
That was when her life seemed to go into free fall. Racked with guilt over what had happened and effectively shunned from her faith for having sex before marriage, getting pregnant by wedlock, and then having an abortion, Ivy had no idea where she was meant to turn anymore.
Her addiction to drugs and partying got considerably worse until she left home at twenty to doâŠwell god knows what. Ivy certainly had no idea when she left with her suitcase one morning, but she knew she wouldnât be coming back.
Couch surfing for the next four + years the girl saved up enough money to buy herself tattooing equipment and finally put her love of art to somewhat good use. Doing freelance commissions for people she would draw the designs before tattooing them herself, finally having found something she actively enjoyed doing.
Her partying and drug use didnât slow down for a second, she was reckless and crude, a total 360 from the girl sheâ been at St Ceciliaâs but Ivy was now under the impression she was worth nothing and therefore why should she bother caring about anything? She didnât have the faith to guide her which was a massive blow for the woman, not to mention she was dealing with the guilt of what she had done at seventeen ever since. Constantly thinking about the child that could have been.
Now in London Ivy works at a small boutique tattoo parlour where she is allowed to use their facilities to do her own clients as well as taking commissions for the store as a whole. Party all night, tattoo all day, thatâs basically what her life consists of at this point.
Personality:
Ivy is a whirl of creative chaos, she is always up for a good time and is the life and soul of the party.
Beyond chilled out she has a mindset of âwho fucking caresâ about a lot of things, it takes a lot to offend the woman since she is more likely to say the horrible, crude, crass things about herself before anyone else can anyway.
Some words to describe her: Adrift, wounded, rebellious, lost, electric, self indulgent, reckless.
DRUG TW: Ivy has got a serious drug problem, ranging from smoking weed to harder things such as heroin and coke.
Wanted connections: A dealer (dunno if anyones characters deal), disapproving friends, enabling friends, first friend in London, some FWB type people, clients at the tattoo parlour.
Ivy likes to push boundaries, be that with what sheâs wearing, taking, doing, or saying. Not maliciously but just because she wants to see what she can get away with.
Ivy really misses the church and that connection it gave her, now she no longer has it she feels incredibly alone.
