Closer To God

Delusional ramble, butttttttt I always interpreted the real meaning behind Closer by Nine Inch Nails to be very Rowan coded.

The song has like two meanings, the true meaning and like the popular meaning ig.

The true meaning is the self-hatred and desire for sex and just the topic of obsession and a slow descent into madness.

The popular meaning also works with it just being the freaky sex song but I like the actual meaning better because it literally feels more meaningful.

Rowan always had a weird view on relationships and romance. Ever since Murdoc that view has been twisted and blah blah blah I don't have motivation to yap rn
