Last post was a lie; I’m a little dead. Been meaning to for like two weeks now to hop on and announce an actual hiatus, so here it is. My mental health’s been all sorts of wacky, so I’m spending more of my time writing solo and doing some gaming. So I’ll be back at some point.

i’m kind of annoyed at the communities belief that dropping threads or liking a starter call and not responded is a terrible thing. like that belief of “oh they didn’t reply to that one starter i wrote one time they’ll never reply to anything why should i even bother”

i don’t support that at all.

so basically, if you don’t mind that your partner may drop threads or not reply/maybe forget to reply to a starter, please reblog this? its so unhealthy for someone like myself who gets afraid to drop threads on the chance that my partners may think i don’t want to write with them, or worse BECAUSE i dropped it they won’t want to write with me.

its a bad cycle to end up hoarding drafts because you’re afraid they’ll be mad at you for dropping it. so if you don’t mind at all and will still continue to want to write with them, reblog this and let your followers know that you are okay with them dropping threads, and you won’t hold it against them.

It doesn’t matter who said he could or what he told him he wasn’t allowed to do—not that he’d told him anything of the sort—because the minute Prom’s hand connects with the ears that the glamour prism created, he melts under the touch, leaning into his friend wholeheartedly and letting loose a sound that genuinely mortifies him. “You dare me to what?” Noctis says with a laugh, hardly able to believe his ears. “Kiss a guy?”

Prompto’s looking a little too please with himself as he confirms what Noctis said, nodding his head and shaking the spikes in his hair with the movement, a bright smile on his face that Noct can’t help mirroring.

“Sounds easy enough.”

He’s smiling, but it’s anything but. For starters, they’re dangerously low on guys with only the four of them around and he only had a desire to kiss one of them. It’s curious where he even came up with this idea, why he would even think to suggest it or if it was a curiosity that he blurted it out as he so often did.

But Noct can’t convince himself that he ought to kiss one of the others, that Gladio or Ignis are a viable options at all. Instead, he finds himself asking, “You count, right?”

His boldness starts and ends there as he watches Prom’s eyebrows arch upwards, like he wasn’t expecting that—and of course he wasn’t. Way Prompto is, it’s no surprise.

And he sees the way Prompto’s lips curl into a smile, awkward and barely held together with a short laugh that suggests maybe he thinks Noct’s kidding. It’s an assumption that Noctis shatters by leaning and capturing Prompto’s lips in a kiss, soft and sweet and all too brief for his liking as he pulls away.

“You, uh, know I’m not straight, right?”
