you really do have to feel bad for tom he's literally hours removed from the worst mushroom hallucination haunting trip a person could ever have only to immediately be thrown into conversing with the island's undead founder's corpse and then immediately on a boat to dispose of him like. that man slept on a toilet for a whole day didn't even get to breathe

it was very clear from the first episode that everything Loftis does is for his son only; if his son can't leave the island then Loftis will bring outside world to the island (which he did!) if curse can be lifted then Loftis will investigate with Patricia&Wicks and eat mushrooms (which he did!) but what he'll do if the only way to end the curse is to kill his son? how long it would take before he'll burn this island to hell just to bury this secret for good?
