Kraehe tried her hand at painting again, simply making herself comfortable on a quaint bench. She's still in Seaside Province, but she didn't want to wander far. It's a nicer day, one that meant winter is almost over. Thank goodness, she missed the air of spring and the sun's warmth.
She's trying to paint the tree, but it's going.. eh. Well, It's going better than before but still a struggle.
The footsteps of passerbys didn't bother her much. It's a housing area, after all. Many people either come here to get in their homes or are leaving for work and such. Right now, it's simply her focusing on her canvas.

It has been some time since her realization. Kraehe has been pacing back and forth around her cell, holding one hand close to her chest and looking down at the moving floor. She's kept this up for a good hour, anxiously pacing over and over with no evidence to stop.
All according to plan.
Her breathing was raspy, wheezing and gasping like a fish would out of water. "H-Hello? H-Hello, someone, p-please..!" Kraehe calls out, desperation and fear in her voice as she looks for any scientists passing by. It seems she caught some attention, as she heard someone asking about the noise one room over. Good, but she's missing something. She needs to look more fragile, weak. Like, she's truly suffering through an illness.
"H-Help..! I can't.. I can't breathe, please..!" She cries, making sure that her trembling is visible. "My chest, h-hurts..! I feel-!" Her gasping grows more desperate. Ragged and forced. "H-Help..! Help.. me..!" And.. Now! In her final act, she collapses to the ground, eyes closed and completely limp on the ground. There's murmers of shock as a pair of footsteps approach the cell. Yes, good. Now open it.
Being dragged out of the chamber via a medical bed, she sneakily pockets the keycard while keeping her act up. But wait for the perfect moment. Until they're alone, where she can properly take care of this pathetic man..
And in mere moments, she leaves with a card in hand and no scientist to be found. Making her way out and through the cells, she looks upon the hall before her eyes catch someone next to her.
"They took you too, hm?" Kraehe asks. "Can't believe they have the audacity to treat us like mere mice." They're lucky she's limited. For some reason.
Waiting was tiring in itself. Sunday had hoped there might be something to learn from the scientists, but they didn't bother speaking aloud-- as though they still recognized that their captives were capable of understanding and thinking for themselves, despite the way they were treated, and intended to not give away any information that might be useful for them.
He knew, of course, that there were others, but it wasn't until a pained cry came from the cell next to his.
Instinctively, Sunday got to his feet, pressing a hand against the wall, lips parting to call out...
But there was something off.
And sure enough, a moment later, the girl stood before his cell with a key card in hand, seemingly entirely uninjured.
Of course.
A slight smile touched the Halovian's lips as he inclined his head. "That was a clever deception," he acknowledged. "Perhaps you can free me as well? I'll make certain to repay you in whatever ways I can. Something about this place limits my abilities, but... in a situation like this, it would be best not to work alone."
She hums as she looks at the intimidating barrier between them. While she usually would just leave and try to get out immediately.. In her heart, leaving a fellow captive behind felt.. unwarranted. Besides, he has a point. Cooperation may be the best option, at least until they escape. Then, they can go their merry ways.
Kraehe nods, then studies the panel that looked completely foreign to her. Good grief, nothing like this was ever a thing in her home. Nothing Drosselmeyer made can be this.. futuristic. How does she shut it off? Kraehe presses a button...
Nothing happens.
She tries again, but it only makes a small 'beep' that startled her.
But, nothing happened. Good that they escaped any unfortunate events, but no fortune either. There's a red one, though that seems like.. danger. Theres a reason why red was used for warnings, after all.
Oh, what choice does she have? Against her better judgement, she presses the red button. The minute she pushed it, the barrier dissolved. She breathes a sigh of relief, then runs in to usher the older man. "Alright, it's down! Let's get out of here!"

ู เฃชโญ It took some time for Cucumber to get his bearings in the massive facility. However, he always remembered that for every problem that existed, there was a solution to be found. While his friends were in danger, he would find a solution no matter what.
After some investigating, he realized that all of the Echoes were being kept in a place called the Hyaline Wing. He managed to remain in hiding while he copied a key from one of the scientists before booking it to the cells.
He walked quietly and slowly, using the blanket to cover himself from the surveillance cameras. Pretty much every cell was empty (with some even having some damage inside), but it wasn't long before he found a familiar face.
" R-Rue!? I-I mean! Uh... K-Kraehe? " Cucumber choked on his words. " S-sorry! I... I wasn't expecting to see you. " He walked to the barrier, using the blanket to hide himself while Rue could see him perfectly. Ears kept focused on her. " Are... are you okay? Do you need help? "
Kraehe sighs as she sits down on the floor, trying to think of something. Her act before won't work twice, especially when she apparently was caught being in a "sensitive place". What option did she have? That's what the vent led her to! Even so, she can't help but snag something from that room. Maybe, it was a map of the whole Isles!
The skittish voice almost made her jump into the Eye Light.
"Wh-! Oh sweet corvids, you almost scared me half to death!" She exclaims, trying to compose herself from the scare. She hates being so jumpy, but there's relief seeing Basil again. Well, uh.. Cucumber. The primadonna walks up to him, but keeping distance from the barrier. She'd rather not get roasted alive if she could help it. "Yes! Do you see a button there? There's a button that can shut off this barrier!" She should know, she used it beforehand.
"Then, I can get out of this crude place! Um, if you know where an exit is?"
"If only, but even the birds avoid this place." Kraehe sighs, laying her back against the wall in defeat. Honestly, a smart move on the bird's part. She wouldn't go near this place either. Especially if this is how they treat people..
Looking around, there isn't much to do but hide. She can't use her powers nor does she have any weapons. There's nothing but to avoid capture for the second time. "Maybe, if we can open these vents.. Then, we can leave?"
It was their only shot, as things stand. What else can they do, without anything to defend themselves with?
Badou would have avoided too, if he'd known. And again is that cloying, strangling thought: he didn't know. He didn't know anything about this and they're all stuck here. If he'd known, maybe they could have all avoided this...
He eyes the vent from up above, and hums.
"Depends on where it goes. You'll definitely fit, but what will you do if it's a dead end?"
Kraehe frowns. She doesn't know what she'd do if it leads to a dead end. If those robots can fit through there, she's going to be captured again. If not.. She's stuck.
There's no good answer here. No matter. She needs to take a risk, because they can't hide in here forever. "I'll simply reap what I've sow. There's no point staying in one spot because they'll find us soon enough. If we want to leave, then we need to find a way out of here."
It.. admittedly scares her. What happens if they decide to euthanize her. She's not even sure why she was taken. What if they want to do something to her blood?
"I don't want.. I don't want to be subjected to whatever horrid things they plan for me. So, I have to get out."

Well, breaking out was much easier said than done.
Kraehe had taken shelter in a specific area, one that keeps her hidden from the bots and the scientists. Which is somewhere in the halls, a closet full of various cleaning supplies and chemicals. She curls up behind the buckets and mops, hoping that they will shield her from those dreadful captors. Maybe, she should stay low for a while. It's risky going out, especially when she's practically powerless. Or maybe, she can find a vent somewhere here. A small crevice that can lead to the outside of this foreign lab.
The door opening in a haste immediately caused her to sink lower, now scared that the evil captors had went inside. Oh, she's not here. Not here, please leave.
... Wait.. Was that a whimper? Now that she is thinking about it, the voice sounds familiar. Kraehe takes a peak and..
"Oh, goodness.. You scared me half to death, I thought you were one of those wicked scientists." Any day, she'd be annoyed to see him. But, today.. Sheโs honestly relieved to see someone she knows.
Don't ask how Badou had managed to get away, it was probably humiliating. What matters is he'd gotten away, still dressed in the 'uniform' they'd given him, a little blood stained and rumpled, but he's mostly in one piece, one collected enough to hide in a closet. Great job.
What he wasn't betting on is the company-- he'd covered his mouth to muffle the whimpers that can't stop escaping his mouth, but when he recognizes her, he lets his hands drop to his lap.
"You're here too, huh? Thought you'd be able to fly us away..." he jokes weakly.

What Cursed Compliment Are You?
"You look like you ruin lives in the most poetic way."
You're beautiful but deeply untrustworthy, and that's your kind of charm.
"Oh, that's not fair."
"I merely end them if I have to."

As the aether stirs . . . adventure approaches .
Once a threat shrouded by shadow is now ready for the world to know its name. Throughout the evening, something dangerous sweeps across Arcanus. Buzzing and mechanical clicks stir the silence of the night. What is precious is taken, what remains must rise to the challenge.
A Signal Calls From Ocellus Isle.
Rue woke up with a feeling of weakness. Something unusual for her, if she's being honest.
Another unusual and rather alarming thing was that this wasn't her room. This was a white room befitting of a guinea pig, a test subject. Trapped by a barrier that would cook her alive if she even thought about passing through. A white jumper and her name tagged onto her. Like fodder.
"What..? No, no, this cannot be happening.." Was she.. Kidnapped?! Oh, this won't do! If they think she's going to let herself be subjected to whatever horrors they want to do to her, then they have another thing coming!
------------------------
SHE'S BEEN KIDNAPPED!! Like this for her to notice you from either across or next to the cage via voice! Capping at 2!
Why do People Love You?
Because You're their Cup of Coffee
Not everyone is fond of coffee, alright, but to those who drink it- you're what keeps them awake, what helps them survive a day at work or at school. You're a delightful break, a nice little treat, an excuse to meet your friends, a thoughtful gift to give.
People love you because you know what to say at the right time, you're a bit like a cheerleader in a way, and they can't really stay away from you even if they tried.
I love how strong and unique your personality is. Among countless of coffee beans, you're definitely the cutest.
"For your information, those birds had nothing to do with me. You're the one who came in screaming bloody murder!" Kraehe countered in a snap. The gall to say that she summoned them when he was the one giving her a heart attack and wailing like a baby! Over birds attacking him for probably just reasons. She should've let him get pecked at.
".. Besides, I don't particularly like seagulls." Kraehe added. They are the definition of 'Give them an inch and they'll run a mile'. Once you even think of feeding them, the gluttons would never leave you alone. Luckily, they know better than to mess with the Daughter of the Great Raven. So desperate that they're obsessive. Which.. that thought makes her more disliking of them.
"I'm suprised you're strolling in this weather like it's a spring day. It's freezing." Well, kinda. Though, she never liked cold weather. So gloomy and depressing for most of the year. Snowstorms howl like depressed ghosts and the wind nips and bites at any exposed skin. Sure, the beach is more clear of snow than other places but, it's a shame she can't see it's full beauty at the moment.
Well all of that makes so much sense! Badou's basically a seagull. Loud, will eat trash and shit, won't stop when he sniffs out something good. Yep. her dislike for him makes sense. The dots are connected besides him scaring the crap out of her once.
He sighs and pushes his hands further into his coat pockets, grin still in place.
"Surprised you're out here painting like it's summer and you're gonna see some hot guy on a surf board. I like to come out here and think when it's more or less empty."
You think?
Kraehe thought to herself, giving Badou a raised eyebrow in response to his comment. Is he being genuine? From what she witnessed, he doesn't have a single thought behind that eye of his. She sighs as she turns back to her canvas and paints. "Please, who goes to a beach for the sole purpose of gawking?" The girl said, moving some of her hair away from her eyes.
"I'm trying to practice watercolor. I came here because I hoped it'd be empty and a seashell would be a good model.." But, it's harder than it looks. So much detail that tells a story, one that she cannot quite capture on her canvas. If she's struggling this hard on a simple seashell, then she has alot to learn. Live models are out of the question.
"Though, it is peaceful. Even if it's cold." Suprisingly, there's not alot of snow here. Thank goodness, honestly. She does enjoy Seaside more than her old housing, Eterna.
Aside from.. one factor.
ใ๐๐๐ซ๐ค ๐๐๐ซ๐ค!ใ- Ouch. That hurt.
The girl's face said it all.
Vash had taken the coat off to try on some clothes and there regrettably hadn't been anywhere to set his coat inside of the changing room. One of the hooks on the wall had been busted off... so he had just left it outside.
He bent down slightly, not that he looked all that intimidating anyways, but getting closer to her level couldn't hurt, right?
"Uh huh, that's my coat, kiddo.... I know it looks a lil' rough, but 's a real nice one."
@crows-primadonna // from here
"Old enough!!" Rue huffed, her voice sharp like glass shards as she pushes the dirty, sad excuse of a coat to Vash's arms with a 'hmph'. "You're clearly grown enough that you should know your manners but, alas.. You're completely hopeless." It was tiring for her to witness how these types of people can be. She can bet he walks home to a sad and empty house covered in dust.
Nevertheless, its back in his arms now. Guess the only comfort he has is that living fossil of a jacket. "It could do you good to at least wash it. That.. coat of yours is practically begging for it."
Or... screaming for it.
ใ๐๐๐ซ๐ค ๐๐๐ซ๐ค!ใ- Vash fumbled with his coat, holding it close to himself as the girl thrust it at him. The many tattered coattails splayed all over the floor.
The smile he had was just a little bit tighter. He took it back. The kid was kind of a brat... But, fondly, she sort of reminded him of Kaite.
"Hey now, I washed it pretty recently."
In the tub, but it had been washed. Was it really his fault that the grease, blood, smoke, and sand had all worked its way into the fabric's very threads? Probably, actually... but that wasn't the point! It was homey! It reminded him of home! He knew that it was tattered and disheveled but he couldn't bring himself to get a new one.
"Did you, now.." Her voice trails off as she looks at the coat with a deadpan expression. She knows what washed looks like, and it isn't that.
"You know, there should be some stronger supplies for washing. But if it's stained that badly, then you should re-dye the coat altogether at least." Usually, such ragged clothes would be a lost cause in her home but, this place is full of a variety of mysterious and unknown machinery. There's bound to be something here that'll save.. that.
Maybe some extra sewing along with it.
"All I'm saying is with a good fix-up, it'll look more captivating." Or a miracle, but hey. She's no tailor. Any sane person can look at it and wince, but it takes a trained eye to fully analyze the damage and see if they can repair something to it's former glory.
