Dating Apps: Women vs. Men
I have a couple of male friends who are getting increasingly frustrated at the lack of messages they’re receiving from women on apps like Tinder and OKCupid. They tell me how lucky I am for getting the amount of messages that I’ve gotten when using the apps.
It is not a triumph to receive endless creepy messages from strangers. It’s much more wholesome to only get a message from a woman who genuinely wants to meet you. If I only got one message every six months, but it was from a guy who seriously wanted to get to know me, it would be waaaay better than getting my inbox flooded with “nice ass”. (Also, how many people respond to ‘nice ass’ with ‘Awesome, let’s hang out’?)
I met someone in person recently who absolutely could not keep their hands to themselves, despite me asking him not to, and he was blocked. These apps can be really unsafe and scary for women. If you’re a guy and you’re getting frustrated at the silence, be at peace knowing you actually stand a better chance finding something real.
