The numbers are in for Kendrick Lamarâs new album âDAMN.,â but what does Drake have to say about it?
Kendrick Lamarâs fourth studio album âDamn.â surpassed Drakeâs âMore Lifeâ in album sales by bearly 100,000 sales. âDamn.â sold 603,000 total units in its first week, while âMore Lifeâ only sold 505,000, according to Billboard.  It broke streaming records by having the second-largest streaming week for an album with 227,000 streaming equivalent albums (SEA), Drakeâs âMore Lifeâ having the first with 257,000 SEA.
âDamn.â is Kendrick Lamarâs  third No. 1 album, âuntitled. unmasteredâ and âTo Pimp a Butterflyâ being the first two, selling 178,000 and 324,000 respectively in their first weeks. It has the highest first week album sales since Drakeâs âViewsâ sold 1.04 million copies and is expected to sale another 200,000 in its second week.
After having a week to disect the album, the world has began to point out bars that may be aimed at Drake, but Drake doesnât appear to be sour about the situation. He dropped by Elliot Wilsonâs, Tidalâs editorial director, Instgram post to show his approval of Kendrickâs success and even liked leadwaymusicâs comment that offered that a possible follow-up to DJ Khalidâs Justin Bieber, Chance The Rapper, Migos, and Lil Wayne collaboration could be a Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and J. Cole team up.
