Personal life stuff:

First of all, no I’m not abandoning my fic

HOWEVER I won’t be writing for a wee bit. The next chapter is almost done and very well may come out soon considering it’s almost done, but there’s a lot going on in my life at the moment

Just last week my mom was diagnosed with stage II of an aggressive breast cancer. I need to support my family and stay strong for her, so I won’t be updating or posting for a while. My mother is very dear to me and I can’t imaging living this life without her. She’s my greatest role model, biggest inspiration, and the most genuinely kind and beautiful person I’ve ever met. I need to take this time to be with her

I’m not dropping the fic by any means, just putting it on hold for a while. At least until all this blows over. It’s difficult to conjure up any creative or motivative bone in my body

Thank you for reading all this if you have, and keep my mom in your thoughts please. I hope you’re all doing as well as you can and I appreciate all the support on my silly story

Saering Twice-Grown

Two different people (@fried-pickle and @cryinngcat) have asked me about more info on him, so I thought I should write out what I have on him.

ETA: NOW UPDATED with a comparison to Lucien.

Of Atmoran blood but short for one, Saering was raised in a village in Eastmarch far from population centres or Dragon Cult temples, with a rather idealised view of what it all involved.  Dark eyes, unusual for one of his kin, but not unheard of.  He had the red hair and pale skin though.

Zokulmey

This guy is the main dragon character in the story for many reasons. He’s just.. odd. Among the dragons, that is. He shows more sympathy and compassion for mortal beings than is customary for the Dov. His name translates to (great-eternal-fool) but I cannot explain why bc spoilers…

He’s a typical Skyrim frost dragon, though he preens himself more than most. He loves to keep his scales shiny and bright to reflect the sun as the snow does. Zokulmey is very prideful of his looks. I want to get around to attempting to draw him someday.

Another thing about him which is being explored more in the story in the next couple chapters is that him and Krosis actually talk. The typical dragon/priest relationship is strictly work purposes. They meet to speak of advances or pretty much anything relating to work among the cult. Think of employer and boss meetings, that’s pretty much the vibe.

BUT Zokulmey enjoys tinvaak with Krosis just about random ass things. I could imagine Krosis being like: “Guess what Vokun did last night” and Zokulmey turning his head towards Krosis, wrapping his tail around him and nudging him with his nose, “Go on.” And actually very intently listening. The two are very open with each other. I could also see them being drinking buddies.

Krosis adores his dragon overseer for this reason, as Zokulmey adores Krosis. Krosis had been offered in the past to move territories, but with Zokulmey being stationed at his current, he refused immediately as the dragon could not follow.

Rovahzahdein

His name translates to (balance-righteous-safeguard) which gives a pretty good hint to his personality. He’s an ancient dragon who believes himself to be very just, even if that means distributing cruelty onto those he believes are beneath him.

Rovahzahdein is the dragon overseer to Otar, his dragon being pretty on par with how mad the priest himself is. Their relationship is very purely work related, the two rarely meet at all. Though they do heavily agree on their cruel punishments for simple crimes such as stealing bread from the temple to feed your starving family. Despite given the context of said crime, Otar and Rovahzahdein would happily burn the “criminal” alive.

He’s a very cruel dragon to his subjects.

Malshullir

This dragon is the overseer of Rahgot. His name means (little-sun-worm) hint hint, he’s smaller than average. Don’t underestimate him though, he’s very fierce when it counts. Being bullied by your kin for your lack of size is enough to stir some anger issues in there.

I don’t have a lot on him, other than he’s an elder dragon and is smaller than normal for his type. Therefore, the poor guy has been bullied for centuries.

Venkahtu

And finally, Venkahtu (wind-pride-hammer). The dragon to Volsung. Venkahtu is a blood dragon and is a very fast flier. I’d say Volsung and him have a good relationship, though it is a work based one the two have never had any bad blood.

Again, not much on him but he is here.

That’s pretty much it for my dragons. The other priests have dragons that we all know and love. I found it easier to make OC’s for most of the priests so if I write them, I can use the argument “no it’s not out of character hush 🙄”
