You could hear the shakiness and despair in Bucky’s voice when he utters those words. He remembers them. All of his victims. Every single one.  He not only had to watch himself kill innocent people, but he remembers doing it too …and maybe that’s why he thinks he isn’t worth the fight. Maybe that’s why he struggles to find a reason to believe he’s worth saving. Because getting up ever day is already hard enough. Because he’s drowning in the blood of the innocence and the pain that he created. It doesn’t matter to him that he wasn’t in control. He still did it. He still directs the blame towards his entire being…and that’s honestly so heartbreaking.

A reminder that once they can render the commands useless, there’s still a lot that needs to be addressed to allow Bucky to move forward, to allow for healing

I’m not sure if I’ve posted this observation before but the footwork shown is not only good stunt coordination but also extremely important to Bucky’s mindset. Going back to a post that talked about this in length (I apologize, I can’t recall the original poster’s name), compare the above landing to his landing from the highway scene in CA: TWS; brutal & uncaring to his own health. Here, it’s a very parkour inspired landing, taking off as much energy & damage to your own body. This is Bucky caring, about himself, and his circumstances, which is why it was shown a few times. He’s taking care of himself, which is not only a fantastic observation in the writing, but showing so much care for the character ❤

Everything about Winter Soldier moving is heavy and machine-like. He lands like a ton of bricks, no thought process, just predatory and inhuman. Bucky is actually light on his feet, his FIGHTING style is even light on his feet. When he’s triggered again he goes back to moving like the Winter Soldier. This is partially Sebastian’s characterization through physicality that the directors constantly praised him for and partially a really good stunt choreographer.

A couple of people have wondered why he didn’t just cover his ears when Zemo was saying the words…but if you look at his face in the first set of gifs, you can see that right around “furnace” is when Bucky starts to get turned off. I’d imagine that they made it part of his programming NOT to avoid the audio cues.

Captain America Ever After AU because I’m Stucky trash and I woke up with this idea and just…had to make it happen especially with all this hydracap bullshit today. This is one of my all time favorite movie scenes, not gonna lie, and it’s just SUCH a Steve thing to do. Pretty sure Danielle is just him under cover in a dress.

So, yes, have some Buck and Steve as Prince Henry and Danielle on me X’D (spent friggin 7 hours on this??? what is life even…)

Side note, Sebastian Stan has THE HARDEST FACE IN THE WORLD to draw. No joke :/ I have so much respect for people that can draw him and actually have him look like himself. I am halfway happy with ONE of my drawings of him in this damn comic >__>

i’ll live in my personal universe where they actually include 616 tony’s “finish it” line into cap 3 and that hearing it takes steve back to the time when bucky was the one beating him half to death and he told him the exact same thing
