Another for the 'mlp character art just to draw more frequently' project. As it turns out, I've never done Spike outside of loose sketches so getting his shapes right was a learning curve.

Trying to get myself to do some quicker pieces instead of just one illustration I spent entirely too long on once in a blue moon. Pony character art seems like as good a thing to practice with as any.

Composition's off center and the background colors didn't come out as dark as I wanted. The latter seems to be because of the order I layered the colors in. Lessons learned, I guess.
