Deal with it
Mabel covered her ears with her hands, the laughter reverberating in her bones. No, no, no! He was not here, he was drowning in pink kool aid! How was this even possible? He was gone! She held out her hands once again toward the statue. She thickened the glass. She made the water darker pink. She even put plastic dinosaurs into it. She was getting tired… Suddenly feeling a presence behind her, Mabel turned to see what she didn’t want to see. Her eyes widened and she took a quick step back to make some distance between herself and the demon. “No. You can’t be here! You were destroyed!”
Bill pitched a sharp grin at Mabel, delighting in her alarm. Oh, how delicious her denial was. It gave him a thrill.
“Guess again, kid!” He snapped his fingers and a replica memory erasing gun materialized from thin air, floating like a hologram between them. “You really think a cheap trick like this could stop me? A being that’s existed longer than time itself? HA! Don’t flatter yourselves!”
The fake device vanished in a puff of smoke, and Bill cackled.
