A Funeral For Myself
I’m holding a funeral for myself, because part of me has died. Not all of me but it’s the parts that make the whole. To let one go quietly disrespects its role.

✯❤Happy 31st Birthday Hidaka!!!❤✯
I still can’t believe I met my beloved bff, SKY-HI, at his LA and NYC lives this week!! He’s so cute and sweet and I loved every second of his flawless performances! In LA, he actually asked if he could sit down to play the keyboard 😍 “You’re all standing, but I’m going to sit if it’s okay.” He really is the sweetest man alive. Being so close to him was so… ahhhh! He's kind and welcoming, and I felt so peaceful holding his hand. He’s even more handsome in person, and I was so struck by his beautiful face that I forgot everything I wanted to say to him. 😥 Even the best photos and videos don’t do justice to that angelic face. 😇 After leaving, I became so sad because I had to miss his panel at the convention, and also… it was just so painful to see how tired he was. He goes on to Europe next and has shows immediately after returning to Japan, so I’m worried about him. I’ve cried a few times since leaving, and I feel a bit dumb when people ask what’s wrong and I have to say “I’m sad because Hidaka is tired!” 😅 I just love him so much. In addition to meeting Hidaka, I was able to meet many of my dear friends from online, including @kuyashii, @ryopi123, @aaaislove, and @misakolove. I also met many new friends from around the world. I’m glad that Hidaka has such amazing fans. Let’s all meet again soon!! I don’t know how I’m going to move on from this… I was so happy, and now I’m feeling heartbroken that it’s already over. I can’t wait to be reunited with my precious boy.
Today’s song is Mata ne!
It’s the last track of SKY-HI’s first major album, TRICKSTER. The title translates to “see ya,” which is what I’m saying with today’s post!
Thanks for following this countdown! It was fun to plan out the songs and share my SKY-HI knowledge with you. I hope you had a blast at the live - and if you weren’t able to make it, I hope you enjoyed the countdown anyway!
We’ll see each other again at the next SKY-HI world tour!
See ya!
“The time that I spent with Chiaki for twelve years was so special that no other person can ever truly understand.” -Uno Misako
Today’s song is Countdown!
The choice is to celebrate that we are finally less than one month away from SKY-HI’s live in Los Angeles!
Countdown is a cool electronic tune that debuted on SKY-HI’s second album, Catharsis!
The first verse starts, “It’s easy; jump up into the sky.” It will definitely be easy to jump up into the sky (if you’re taking a plane like I am) to go see him! Waiting so long for this tour has been anything but easy!!
But let’s be happy that we have to wait just 30 more days!
Happy 12th Anniversary AAA~!!!(♡´❍`♡)*✧ ✰ 。*
12 amazing years full of hard work, laughs, tears, challenges and well deserved accomplishments! Thank you for coming into our lives and showing us anything is possible with hard work and determination.
Today’s song is the hit, Kamitsure Velvet!
September 12 is the National Day of Encouragement! It’s a day all about lifting the spirits of those around us and reminding ourselves and each other to always do our best.
It’s only fitting that we spend the day jamming to Kamitsure Velvet, a song about remaining positive. SKY-HI reminds us that past failures lead to future success. Remember, there have to be dead flowers today to make room for living flowers tomorrow!
Two months - that is, 61 days - to go!
Today’s song is Ashita Haretara, or If It’s Sunny Tomorrow!
The theme of the day is weather, because September 7 is National Neither Snow nor Rain Day! This day celebrates the opening of the New York Post Office on September 7, 1914.
We international fans must rely on the postal service to bring us our coveted SKY-HI CDs and merchandise - I know I certainly do!
Let’s think about the things we’ll do tomorrow - no matter what the weather is - and be thankful to services that connect us with the rest of the world while we listen to this cool track!
66 tomorrows to go!
I’m sooooo excited for SKY-HI’s world tour! I’ve been counting down the days on my own, and decided to do a tumblr countdown!
Actually, two! I made two separate blogs to count down to both the LA and the NY shows! (There are more places he’s going, but I’m honestly so lazy. These are the two shows I’m going to, so that’s why I chose them - plus, I’m American and am representing my country!)

As of today, it’s been six months since I shipped Chiaki’s graduation gift! But… I still have no updates 💔
Since I shipped it, I never saw any updates on the tracking, I contacted the fanclub and asked if the package had arrived, but they responded they have no system to inform people of that. I called the post office several times, but they could never tell me anything. I check the tracking every day, but it’s become unavailable in the past few days. I also can’t file a lost package ticket, because Japan is not on the list of countries covered by that.
This whole thing has been bugging me, and I’ve felt like I let everyone down by not doing more to make sure the package got there. But what else can I do?
Hopefully, it’s gotten there! I’m still optimistic that, even though I have no evidence, Chiaki has seen everyone’s awesome work.
Edit: somehow I wrote "a month"??? If you saw that earlier, it's really been six months lol I promise I didn't take so long to send it.
