Azurite woke up hugging the poor injured fish on the single bed the two shared late last night. The crystalized netherborn gently pulled away from the adorable sleeping figure and opted to make breakfast- given that all they really had on hand was pancakes before trying that new job Des recommended.
They tried to be quiet yet they dropped the bag of flour they were trying to put away since the stool they were standing on fell from under them

[Hydros quickly wakes up and makes a scared noise at not seeing Azurite next to them. It tries its best to sit up without hurting themself more. They call out]

"I'm ok! Just fell- damn there flour everywhere-"
[It slides off the bed and stumbles into the kitchen]
N-need help?-
"You ok? I mean your stumbling pretty badly, I could probably clean this up after I get pancakes done- oh, do you like pancakes? "
1, 'm fine- I can help 2, I've never had pancakes?
"Oh deary, I'll make you pancakes then u can help me clean up- then I take you to a doctor"
[Fear flooded their eyes at "doctor" and they cowered against the wall]
No- no doctor- bad-
"Oh- oh dear- I promise I won't let any doctor touch you sweetheart- in any way that isn't helping your injuries. I pinky swear"
[It shook it's head, tears quickly forming]
D-doctor bad- hurts-
" oh love- they won't touch you, I promise I just- need a professional since I don't really know what I'm doing..."
[Hydros held onto the wall and sank down to the floor, shaking]
Don't- don't let them hurt me- please-
" I pinky promise, you can't break pinky promises, mk? "
[Azur held out their pinky standing at an arms length away from them in case it wanted space]
[They take a deep breath and stands up, finishing the pinky promise]
"I think the pancakes are nearly ready, any preference?"
[Azur went to check of the pancakes walking around the mess- their paws were already covered in flour]
[They make a puddle of water under the flour and turns those puddles into bubbles, trapping the flour inside. They walk over to the sink and lowers them in, letting them pop and go down the drain]
" ... Or you could do that... I need to take a lava bath soon anyway, pancakes are done!"
[Azurite placed the freshly made pancakes on the only two plates in the house]
[Hydros looks at the pancakes, trying to understand what they are]
"... Having fun?"
Why's it so flat- and circular-
"I... Don't know... Because is bakes that way? Idk all I know is that they taste really sweet with honey"
[It carefully takes a bite and their face lights up]
"See! Really good, and I didn't burn them this time!"

The crystalized netherborn gently pulled away from the adorable sleeping figure and opted to make breakfast- given that all they really had on hand was pancakes before trying that new job Des recommended.
They tried to be quiet yet they dropped the bag of flour they were trying to put away since the stool they were standing on fell from under them
