Fantastic idea, would recommend to my students!
Debbie Hanna - PGA Professional & former LET Tour player
This seems pretty close to a perfect golf app, I could recommend a few changes to the tips section
Charlie Bell - PGA Professional and Director of Golf at Blackwood
Rules and Tips sections are very helpful, especially for beginners

User Testing
Now onto the testing stages!
I have been passing my app out to several friends and members of Blackwood Golf Club to see what feedback I can get. Initial impressions so far are looking good but I will need to wait for official feedback to come through.
Can’t wait!
GPS System
So after my idea and research into GPS technology for golf, I have implemented it into my app. By doing this it adds an extra feature for the app to grab users attention with.
Garmin Approach S10 Golf GPS Watch - GPS
Easy To Use With Instant Green View Distances If you want to stay focused on your game and the course, this is your golf gps watch. Based on your location, the easy-to-use Approach S10 golf watch automatically chooses the course you’re playing from more than 41,000 preloaded courses worldwide with free lifetime updates. Then it provides yardages to the front, back and middle of the green as well as hazards and doglegs. Complete a hole, and it automatically transitions to the next hole as you walk from the green to the next tee box. And if you really crush one, you can measure the distance for bragging rights. For added convenience, keep score right on your Approach S10. At the end of your round, it provides a summary of your round showing total distance played, total time and score. And as a remarkably comfortable everyday watch, it also displays the current time and date plus sunrise and sunset times.

This type of watch is what I use when I play golf. As a user myself, it is very helpful and very accurate. By finding out the distance to front middle and back of the green I can make a rough estimate of the distance to the flag, but more importantly by knowing the yardage to the front and back I can make a judgement of what club NOT to hit to avoid missing the green in certain spots.
This GPS method is something I am going to add into my app, as another feature to help golfers improve their game.
WOW! USER FLOW IS BIG!
Complete!
When using Overflow I was able to space all the screens out allowing me to place the arrows in without everything looking so cramped. I have to say, I have very happy and pleased with this final outcome, still can’t believe how easy it was to use.
EXPORTING!
Not long now until the User Flow is complete!
Have I mentioned how good Overflow is?
All in Overflow!
Look at all my screens in there. Highly recommend Overflow.
By looking around the program at a glance, it looks like to it should be easy enough to link all the screens. When you hover over one of the screens you get offered different arrows. By clicking on an arrow and dragging it to another screen is how the link is made, so simple!
I guess I will be spending a little bit of time now linking all 80 screens....
I’ll post the outcome shortly.
Syncing my design to Overflow
Look at how user this is! When I downloaded Overflow it picked up that I was using Sketch, and then gave me an option to link all my artboards/screens at one go! So easy, I am very happy with Overflow so far.
Now to see how to link all the screens
Turn your designs into playable user flow diagrams that tell a story.
Overflow! Making life simple
Overflow is a tool/software that I have found designed to help make user flows with your design.
Going from their website it looks very clean and professional so I shall be downloading this to use for my user flow.
Just hope its easy to use!
Back to this, the User Flow
Now that my app is complete in terms of content, I thought it would be best to create a greater depth user flow than the one I made last semester.
This begins by looking at user flows online again, and implementing that knowledge into my own.
Here it goes!
3 OFF THE TEE MERCHANDISE
So another method to make money (other than advertising) would be to make merchandise. Above is an example of a golf ball with my logo on it. The golf ball is just one of many things I could do e.g. towels, tees, markers, ball markers, caps, headcovers, golf bags etc.
When it comes to merchandising then the sky is the limit!
For now I will look into getting some things merchandised for the degree show to give users a feel for the brand.
TOUCH TO BEGIN
So, an issue with InVision that I had was getting the app started. The screen above was intended for a loading screen once you clicked on the app. However when making the prototype, I couldn’t manage to figure out how to make the app start on this screen and then transition by itself to the start of the app.
To overcome this teething problem I had the line “TOUCH TO BEGIN” on the loading page so that any user testing the prototype will know to touch the screen to advance.
A small annoying problem, but temporarily fixed.
