Does anyone else think Yana hasn't given up on kuro at all? I really just think she's super busy and has split her attention given Twisted Wonderland. It's no small thing to consistently work on the same project for 20 years (and it would be understandable for an author's level of attention to wax and wane over the years) yet she continues to deliver.

She's clearly been working hard on the manga. The quality of her art is better than ever, and the current arc is deftly bringing to light things that have long been hinted at (even in the non-canon anime, ex. go rewatch s2 e4 and see all the Brighton hints). She is being very deliberate and thoughtful with her storytelling. The manga is clearly building up to a climax and setting the stage for questions to be answered. It's been so fun to read and analyze the story as it continues...

Idk, maybe I'm just missing something as someone relatively newer to the fandom compared to people who have been around for years. But I'm just not on board with the "Yana is going to disappoint us" doomsaying that I've been seeing for a while now. Have some faith!

i have liked kuro for a long time (over 10 years) but only engaged with the fandom for 3 years. people in this fandom have a condition called NNS (negative nancy syndrome) where they think the worst possible outcome is surely the outcome that will happen.

it’s funny because even people on the non-anti side (who i used to think generally had more faith in yana and don’t call her a stupid shotacon like antis do) seem to think she stopped caring about kuro when it’s clear she cares more than ever because this ending is being dragged out imo. she’s going to be working on this for a long ass time because as op said, she’s busy as hell!!

afaik yana’s author notes at the end of vol 34 (the last english translated official volume release) are a sign she’s bettering herself and not at all sick of kuro

hey so she loves her characters, she is not going to butcher them, she has a plan like she always does, trusting someone who’s been doing this for 20 years isn’t difficult, just wait and see !!

Hello babe, thank you so much for your kind words, it warms my heart that there are still people who appreciate my art and our dear sebaciel.

I unfortunately do not have any public social media as I’ve been really busy with life(Just graduated college). Although I am inactive on this account, I still keep myself updated with news about Black Butler by just lurking in the corners of tumblr(lol).
