Hagstone Witchery does not employ these ceremonial structures. It does not cast circles, summon the Witch’s Compass, or invoke the elemental quarters. This is not a rejection of their validity in other contexts, but a recognition that they are not intrinsic or needful to the forms of folk magic and cunning craft from which our tradition draws its inspiration. In our tradition, the focus of ritual is on the combination of magical desire and corresponding action. These practical rituals are as grounded and practical as they are powerful; they are small, often domestic or seasonal rites that connect the witch to their landscape, their community, and their spiritual relationships.

Giving our community flyer an update as we have grown so much this week. Hagstone + Toadsbone is a small, but growing 18+ community of practitioners of folk magic, folkloric witchcraft, and tradcraft. We welcome all traditions of folk magic, all types of folklore, and all paths of traditional magic. All experience levels are welcome.
Please Note: We are happy to except members who practice blended paths (ex: a personal blend of Wicca and folkloric magic), however all discussion, activities, etc. will be focused on folk magic, folklore, and traditional witchcraft. Any other discussion must go into the off topic channel. We do not accept members whose practices are exclusively outside of the realm of these disciplines, or who express intent just to "lurk".
Growing Community: 30+ current members and growing. Weekly voice chats. Witchy Wednesdays discussion prompts. Members of all experience levels from many different backgrounds. Drama free.
Shared + Closed Chats: More than a dozen channels. Closed, protected chats for practices such as Hoodoo, Jewish Folk Magic, Christian Folk Magic, ect. with preference for mods of same practice.
Resources + Support: A place to seek and share resources, research, practices, books and more. Spaces for Queer Witches, Witches of Color, and Disabled + Chronically Ill Witches. Dedicated space for sharing equity and awareness resources. Zero tolerance for bullying and bigotry.
