Hi everyone, I am shooting my thesis August, and after slashing my budget I am trying to raise 2-6k for the month long shoot. The last week of July through the last week of August. This month will consist of casting, costuming, makeup, and in the second to last week of August the actual shoot. I currently work two jobs and take a full-time course load in The MFA program at Emerson, to graduate on time I have to shoot my thesis film this summer, and it’s an idea that has been living in my brain for ages. Waking Up Dead is the story of Maggie, a young woman who wakes up the night after her own murder and goes on a quest not only for answers but for revenge.
This film will play with and study the representation of the female form within genre film, and how domestic abuse is portrayed by media. But overall it’s about a girl, who gets to eat the boy who murdered her.
If I can get 100-200 people to donated $15-$20 dollars The film will have enough funding to happen. Please consider supporting indie female-driven horror film.
So I know I haven’t been around in a while, but this is a friend of the typist’s, and both she and I want to see this project happen, and not only that, being a thesis film, it needs to happen.
