Slenderverse Character : Evan Meyers
Additional Information : fem!reader in mind, pg13
You sit on the desk chair with your knees to your chest, watching out of the corner of your eye as Jeff and Jessa murmur to one another on the sofa, cuddled up in the corner, completely in love.
You wouldn't say that you're jealous of them, because you aren't. You're happy for them, happy that they love each other through every up and down, happy that they found each other in this life and you hope they find each other in the next.
But man... sometimes it hits a little close, when it's late and everyone's in Vinnie's basement, Vin editing their silly workout videos, you long for something that they have.
Cold fingers brush your hair from your face, behind your ear, and you blink, looking up in surprise to see Evan standing beside you, a soft smile on his face, a can of some ungodly energy drink in his other hand, as he brushes a few extra strands from your eyes.
"You're quiet." He chuckles, setting the can down and leaning on the back of your chair, your eyes dancing across the room towards the two again, before you sigh and turn to face whatever gameplay was on the big screen.
You have known Evan for years. Longer than the rest of them, so it really isn't hard for him to read you, even when you have your thick walls of protection up around yourself.
"Hm..." He just hums, thoughtful and quiet, before he shuffles over to the other end of the sofa, sitting back and opening his arms for you. "C'mere. Gotta be more comfortable than that chair."
It's not that you haven't cuddled before, you used to lay all over him when you were younger, but something about it this time was... different.
You push up from the chair slowly, shuffling over in Vin's borrowed pyjama pants and Evan's borrowed hood, climbing up into Evan's lap and curling into him as he wraps his arms around you, tight and secure, his head leaning against yours.
"See? Better, right?" He murmurs, strangely quiet for his usual chaotic and boisterous self.
You nod, closing your eyes to avoid looking at Jeff and Jess, shuffling to be comfortable against Evan's stocky, comfortable body, head tucked under his chin so he could still see the room.
Evan sighs, feeling you relax immensely already, his fingertips brushing over your hip and thigh through your pants, brushing over your shins in soothing circles, until finally your breathing was even and you'd fallen asleep.
Clicking his fingers as quietly as he could muster, Vinnie finally looks over to Evan, pushing his glasses up and grinning at the sight—lord knows these boys have heard enough about how much Evan likes you, so it was about time he made his moves.
"Can I have my drink?" Evan whispers, pointing to his can, and Vinnie nods, pushing his computer back so he could get up, grabbing Evan's can and handing it to him.
At the other end of the sofa, Jessa coos, smiling at the sight as you sleep on Evan, curled up like a lapdog.
"Jeff, get that camera!" She whispers, and Jeff frowns, looking down at his girlfriend as she points at the various cameras on the small table.
Jessa rolls her eyes, motioning to where Evan was murmuring sweet secrets into your hair, his lips so close to just kissing your temple, eyes hooded as he absorbs as much of the moment as he can.
"We need something to show at their wedding, dummy." Jessa teases, but before she could get up and record you two, Jeff stops her, kissing her softly before he grabs a camera and shoots a quick video from his side of the sofa while Jess coos about the two and Evan pretends to not be listening.
As the time crawls longer, Jeff and Jessa stealing the spare room, Vin disappearing up to his own bedroom, Evan shifts the two of you on the basement sofa, grabbing a pillow to support his head as he lays back, being as gentle as he can to fix your sleeping body to lay on too of him, legs a tangled mess under the blanket Jessa had thrown at him.
Your head still tucked right under his chin, lips leaving ghostly breaths along his collarbone, and Evan sighs, closing his eyes, making damn sure his arms would stay locked around you in a comforting embrace.
The next morning, you wake up groggy, but well slept, for once.
No nightmares, no patchwork sleep, you just slept.
And you wake up on your stomach, cheek numb, smooshed against the soft flesh of Evan's chest as he lays below you, staring at the ceiling.
"Oh, morning." You murmur, voice a little croaky, and Evan blinks, looking down at you and smiling.
"Hey. How are you feeling?"
After a short conversation, with Evan's fingers tracing your spine, you close your eyes and just listen as Vinnie stomps his way to the basement, Evan greeting his friend.
"Do you two want anything for breakfast? I'm making waffles now, and there's a pot of coffee on." Vin asks, yawning halfway through.
Evan chuckles, fingers tracing a slither of skin exposed between the hood and your waistband. "We'll take a coffee each, but no breakfast just yet."
Vin stomps back upstairs, and you open an eye to look at Evan, who was now looking at you through hooded lids.
"So... do we really have to have that conversation, or can I just kiss you?" He murmurs, voice a husk in the back of his throat, and you grin.
"I think we don't need the conversation."
Jessa sits crouched on the stairs, Jeff's camera in her hands as she records the kiss, ignoring the confused yet loving expression on her boyfriend's face as he stands behind her, waiting for her to come back up so they could finish breakfast.
