Every time we feel we're moving towards some stability, a new and painful blow strikes. The war destroyed our home, and we're living in a tattered tent. Now winter has arrived, and the rain pours down, soaking our tent, our bedding, and our clothes. The temperature has plummeted, and we have no warm clothes to protect us from the bitter cold. As raindrops drip through the tent roof, my children shiver. I stand helpless, unable to do anything.
We don't want to go back to how we were before this cursed war, but we want to live with some dignity, a little warmth away from the winter cold, some food, and some warm clothes. I'm very tired and I want to unwind.
I will write a little, and I hope you will read it and consider it an update to the post.
We are completely devastated. All hope is lost, and the only thing clear now is that our lives have become an endless hell. Our homes are destroyed, and it seems we will continue to live in tents. Our children's future is destroyed; there are no schools, no education. Our economy is destroyed, and we have all become beggars, asking for donations without which we will starve. Our youth is destroyed and will perish while we live in endless suffering. And with the rain now falling, it seems that winter, which I used to love, I will wish would be erased from the calendar. I don't know, my friends, whether to continue pleading with you for donations so we can survive, or to give up and go and remove the rainwater that is leaking into our tent and try to dry it constantly until the rain stops. I swear to you, I don't know what to do anymore, so please help us.
