Spent yesterday photographing this skirt I whipped up a few weeks ago! I love the pastel pink and the 50s feel, and it was super simple.

It’s always lovely when something you make actually turns out well - pictures of my 1920′s robe de style! It took about 15 - 20 hours. The undergarments, headpiece, and dress were all made by me. Although there are a few little things I’d like to fix, overall I’m really happy with how it turned out!
College orientation took over my life! Finally back to the studio today, working on orders and a few little pieces for myself!
Robe de Style photos! Although I love the 1920s, I’m not sure how they wore taffeta in summer - it was 95 degrees when we took these and I thought I was going to pass out!
You had something else you had to say // But it doesn’t matter now 🌟 Dress: Handmade Bag: Modcloth
More preview photos of my 1920s Robe de Style! It was handmade by me, including the pannier and the pretty feather headdress!
Working on this fancy dress today 💕 #sewing #diy #handmade #costuming #fashion #fashiondesign #memade #handmade #wip #ootd #vintage #1950s #pinup #pinupsewing #vintagesewing #costumedesign #fabric
Flamingoes everywhere! New fabric, ready for a new project.
Making tiny tiny pleats!
Yards and yards of chiffon and organza in the studio today!
I took photos yesterday of my 1920s Robe de Style! We gave up after about 30 minutes because it was boiling hot, so we're going to try again in a few weeks when it's a bit cooler. But I do love how these turned out! This dress, pannier and headband took about 20 hours to make.
Some quick studio pictures of my Robe de Style ensemble! It still needs hemming, but hey, at least I’m confident that the 20ish hours I put into this one were well spent!
I feel like a flapper girl and I’m loving it.
Pannier previews ;)
This is my first pannier ever, and I’m really proud of myself honestly! It supports my robe de style, sits comfortably, and doesn’t feel as strange as I expected it would. Although I’m not sure what the first person to come up with it was thinking, I’m glad they decided it was something worth inventing!
Working on attaching silk flowers to my robe de style today! I love all the detailed embroidery and floral designs you see on the extant 1920s garments.
Working on my 1920′s headache band (named after their fabled ability to cure or relieve headaches) for my Robe de Style ensemble! Ostrich feathers are so soft, I felt like I was working with clouds!
A few more photos of my newest 1950s dress! Loved playing around in the forest with a vintage camera and a puffy skirt <3
I’ve been under the weather, so today is a casual comfy outfit and some sewing work!
