Disney World Epcot, Orlando, Florida. June 2016.
As you can see, we came during June gloom season. The park was still beautiful and few people. I kind of liked it that way.

Las Vegas, March? 2016
Took a week trip to Las Vegas with my parents. Stayed at The Grandview of Las Vegas, a Vacation Village timeshare using the last call deal. I finally got to see the sign and take a picture there. The hotel was close to South Point Casino so we did a little gambling there and watched the movie, The Huntsmen. We did go to the main strip, went to Madame Tussaud’s wax museum, Bellagio’s garden area, watched Ka, gambled, and shopped around. Swam at Grandview’s pool too. This time of year it is really windy there and it is not hot yet.
Santa Cruz Island and boat ride from Ventura, CA. Visited on February 2016.
To get into Santa Cruz Island, we booked with Island Packers to get on a ferry and reserve a kayak tour. Scorpion Anchorage Pier was damaged so we took a skiff onto the beach. The weather was cloudy with a bit of sprinkles here and there but the boat ride, kayak and hike was still beautiful. Erin was our kayak tour guide and he was so much fun and very informative. We kayaked under caves and through caves, some even narrow and dangerous. Oh and that blow hole got us wet! The kayak trip was awesome and hike up was refreshing in the rain! Thank you Island Packers for a good post Birthday celebration!
Santa Barbara, California. Visited on February 2016
With it’s Spanish colonial style buildings, shopping areas, and classy restaurants, I fell in love right away! This beautiful city is excellent for a romantic coastal getaway. February is the month of love and birthdays for us, so we decided to visit this city and explore.
We stayed at Hotel Santa Barbara (533 State St, Santa Barbara, CA 93010), which is located right on downtown Santa Barbara and a short stroll to Stearns Wharf. The pier is uniquely Santa Barbara, but the real pleasure I got from visiting is walking down the streets upon streets of shops, restaurants and old Spanish colonial style buildings. For lunch we stopped at The Palace Grill (8 E Cota St, Santa Barbara, CA 93101). for some Cajun and Creole cuisine. The Crab Po’boy I got was very delicious! For dinner, we went to Bouchon (9 W Victoria St, Santa Barbara, CA 93101) for a special birthday dinner. It was a very romantic fine dining experience in both the service and the quality of the food. At this restaurant they buy fresh ingredients from the local farmer’s market down the street and that really makes a difference with the taste. My husband and I have been to many fine dining restaurants, and for me, this one is the best!
We only spent one day in Santa Barbara, so we did not have the full experience of this city, so I will definitely come back! :)
The Flowers at The Buchard Gardens in the Fall. Victoria, Canada. Visited on October 2015.
The Buchart Gardens in Fall. Victoria, Canada. Visited on October 2015.
The Buchart Gardens is very beautiful in the Fall because you can see the beautiful colors of orange, reds, and yellows. Although there are not that many flowers, unlike in Spring time, the gardens is still very beautiful and striking. Thank you, Auntie Ruby for showing us around in Victoria. You have made our trip very fun and relaxing. Can’t wait to come back in Summer time!
Capilano Suspension Bridge, Vancouver Canada. Oct 2015.
One of our “must have to do” in Vancouver is to go to the Capilano Suspension Bridge. We came in time to do a small tour and then go off exploring. This place is so beautiful!
Vancouver, Canada. Visited on October 2015.
We enjoyed our visit at Vancouver Canada. We stayed at the Four Seasons Hotel right in downtown Vancouver area, close to all the attractions. Not only are they close to many areas, their service is top notch!
Vancouver is filled with many business folks, all looking very fashionable in their work attire and suits. Almost everyone seemed very helpful and friendly. The waterfront is beautiful because you can see water views with the skyscrapers. Stroll East and you will arrive at the hip place; Gastown, where you can find many eateries, cafes and pubs. Go South and you will go to Chinatown. Next is Granville Island; enjoy the Public Market and try their many desserts and cured meats.
Top Restaurants We Like in Vancouver: Medina Cafe, Miku Restaurant, YEW Restaurant. Get the London Fog at Medina Cafe! It tastes awesome!
Stanley Park, Oh I wish you were next to my house! It was so amazing biking around the seawall, I will never forget it! We rented bikes at the waterfront and biked all the way to the entrance of Stanley Park, went to the aquarium, biked more, arrived at an area where folks have been piling rocks by the beach, and we continued to bike all the way around the seawall and back to the waterfront! It was such an adventure!
Our Apartment Journey. Aug 2014-2015 It has been a little over a year and two months since we got married and I love being married to this wonderful man! After we got married we lived in this apartment and been here for 15 months and we will be moving next month to our new condo! I will miss this place but we are excited to finally move into our own place in which we plan to start our new chapter as a married couple. I only have a few photos of the apartment but I wanted to put it here because I want to keep it in my memories. This is such a beautiful place and I want to remember it’s beauty and when I look back to this post, I will remember the excitement and uncertainty, both good and bad, that we experienced as newlyweds. In this journey of life and travel, we forget the place we always come back to, where ever it may be; the place we call Home Sweet Home.
