CAPTIVATED was how Ariel would describe what the other was doing. It was almost effortless and majestic at the same time. Lightly biting her lip, she ran over pulling out her notepad and pen writing quickly. ❝ How did you do that? --- ❞
Katherine McNamara for Sara Jaye Weiss.
He read the message with a soft chuckle. ‘No, no one thought I was crazy,’ he wrote. ‘Well, maybe they did - but they wouldn’t have shown it.’ He laughed audibly at her attempted whistle, and whistled back at her.
HIS chuckle was a good sign, she wasn’t offending him which was good. Reading his response she grinned taking the pen back. ❝ For what it’s worth... you aren’t crazy...whatever reason you chose not to talk, it was a good reason. ❞ The sound of the whistle made her features lighten as she quickly wrote. ❝ How did you do that? --- ❞
He started writing on the notepad, a soft smile on his face – ‘I used to communicate like this for a while too, this and whistling. I think it’s more comfortable if we’re on the same communication platform, you know?’
SHE waited patiently as he wrote. The moment he was done, she couldn’t help but let out a soft laugh. Using an empty space she nodded while writing back. ❝ You did? Did people look at you like you were crazy too..? Lucky for you...I don’t know how to whistle... --- ❞ Turning the pad back to him she attempted to whistle only air coming out.
Pegasus read the note, pulling the drink further towards him and offering the seat across from him to her. “Alright–..” then he stopped. Gesturing towards the pen and paper, he smiled. “May I?”
AS the male pulled the drink towards him she exhaled a breath she didn’t know was held. With the seat offered to her, she hesitantly sat down glancing around. Looking back to him, she furrowed her eyebrows confused but nodded.
Peg looked up, and furrowed his brow at the girl. “Hey—…” he called out. “You didn’t have to give me this, I can just buy another.” He shrugged, pushing the drink away from him, in a somewhat polite manner.
LIGHTLY chewing on her lower lip as he spoke up, she shook her head taking her notepad. Quickly writing out... ❝ No no...please, take it. Save yourself money...the bartender felt bad and gave it to me...I don’t drink though... --- ❞ Once she finished, she slid it back over a light smile on her face.
“A seagull just took a shit in my margarita. What a lovely start to my day.”
ARIEL sat nearby a small smile on her face. She felt bad for the guy especially knowing how bad things could be on this ship. Standing up with her own untouched drink she placed it in front of him with a notepad that said ❝ I’m sorry about your drink...you can have mine if you’d like? I didn’t drink any...I promise. --- ❞
Stitch made a face as he watched the girl spit up water. At least she was alive though. Things would not have looked well for him if she had died. He was trying to watch her carefully to make sure she was still fine when she caught him completely off guard by wrapping her arms around him. It took him a moment to realize she must have been scared but once he figured it out, he wrapped his arms around her in a comforting manner. “Hey, it’s okay. You’re okay.” What else was he supposed to say? He wasn’t used to being hero or anything close to it. “Where’s your room? I’ll walk with you there so you can get some warm, dry clothes and take it easy for the rest of the night.”
FEELING his arms wrap around her, she continued to hold on. Her heart was racing, threatened to break out of her chest. Each time she blinked, she felt saw the water that was engulfing her. This was great, one more thing to worry bout, to be afraid of. Pulling away she patted around for her phone so she could type back to him. When it wasn’t there, she panicked, she couldn’t communicate. With trembling hands, she moved them to her throat to signal her voice, then shook her head hoping that he would get that she couldn’t talk.
If things hadn’t already been confusing enough when the girl pulled out her phone Victor let out a bit of an embarrassed cough. He looked at the screen and exhaled the nervous breath. “Oh, yeah. No I just got here an hour or two ago. What about yourself?” He was sure the girl could hear him, she turned when he spoke so that was one indication. “It’s funny, I thought I’d be taken to a school and instead I was landed on a huge boat.”
FURROWING her brows, she waited for a response. Tilting her head, she smiled even more once she found out that he too was new, like her. Typing back lightly she tilted her head from side to side, glancing up at him while she typed. ❝ I’ve been here a week...managed to get thrown into the pool by some mean guys on my second day. I thought I would end up on land as well... but they switched me from one plane to the other and voila! I’m here...yay. --- ❞
Arista startled as small arms came around her. She quickly looked down and raised her eyebrows seeing the familiar red hair, both her sister and late-mother possessed. She quickly reacted. She wrapped her arms around her younger sister, both happy and surprised to see her. “Ariel? What on earth are you doing here?”
CLINGING onto her older sister, Ariel kept her grip around her torso. She wasn’t ready to let go yet. Even after hearing her sisters question she just shook her head nuzzling her face slightly. After a moment or two, she pulled away and pulled out her cell phone typing out to show. ❝ Dad enrolled me. He said it would make me better...thought it was a good idea. But, I’m afraid of this ship... --- ❞
Stitch was out and about, wanting to explore more of the poolside while less people were around in the evening when he saw the whole thing happen. He thought for a moment the two knew each other and it was a joke but when the girl didn’t come back up, he realized something was very wrong. He wasted no time and jumped into the water to pull her out. After a small struggle, he managed to get her out of the pool and back to where she was before. “Hey, you okay?” He asked, really hoping she wasn’t dead.
SPUTTERING out water that she swallowed, Ariel continued to fight to stay afloat. Instead, she was sinking lower and lower. Her silent screams slowly fainted as her body started getting tired. Just as her eyes were closing, she felt her body being tugged towards the surface. Gasping, she coughed hard, so hard her chest ached with each wheeze. Sitting up quickly, she continued to cough, throwing up water at times. Moving her hand out, she lightly grabbed onto the male that pulled her out. Moving both arms up, she wrapped both arms around him shaking from both fear and coldness.
“Don’t get too excited, everyone. I’ve graced you all with my wonderful presence.”
ARIEL looked at the seemingly average male with a raised brow. She couldn’t help but chuckle lightly before pulling out her phone typing on her notepad before showing him. ❝ Who exactly are you again? --- ❞
“Not as planned…” The boy whispered. His body moved across the deck and looked out at the water. He wasn’t planning on being surrounded by so many people he didn’t know in such a way. Preparing for one thing then the very last minute he was told he was being flown to a cruise? “You can do this just introduce yourself. Right. Good start.” The boy was finished talking to himself and spun around. “Hi, I’m Victor.”
ARIEL kept to herself since the night prior. Almost drowning wasn’t something she had planned on doing, but it apparently was in the cards for her. She found herself standing in line for something to eat when a male voice called out to her. Turning herself she gave him a small smile. Pulling out her phone, she typed quickly before showing him. ❝ Hi Victor...I’m Ariel...you must be new, like me right? --- ❞
Finally stepping out of his room, Lock felt bored on how everything seemed to be moving at a slow pace. Nothing was happening, and he was about slip back into his dungeon, but his attention was grabbed when he saw a randomly drunk guy drop a girl into the water. Peaking over towards her, he noticed how she was drowning and started to laugh. “Guess Lucifer is on my side tonight.” he snickered as he watched her struggle.
WATER was slowly flooding her lungs. The more she tried to cough it out or breathe, she inhaled more and swallowed another mouthful. She was sure she didn’t know which way was up or down with her eyes closed as tight as they were. Grasping and grabbing for anything she felt her head break the surface. Just as she opened her eyes she noticed someone standing by...watching. She didn’t get a good look as she went under another moment or two again.
Jeff was wondering around the deck aimlessly when he noticed the girl getting tossed into the pool. He didn’t think anything of it at first, assuming that it was just a prank the boys had pulled on the girl. But when the girl began to sink instead of swim, Jeff panicked and jumped into the pool after her. Once he got his arms around her, he pulled her to the surface and gently swam her to the edge of the pool.
“Holy shit, are you OK?” he asked, “Miss, can you hear me?”
JUST as she thought it was all over, she felt a hand grasp the skin of her arm. As it tugged she felt her body follow as she was directed back to the surface. Once her face felt the gust of cool water she coughed, gagging some as water chucked from her lips. Her soft red locks now a wet mess all over the features of her face. She couldn’t believe people would be so heartless as to do that to her. Hearing the male, she wanted to answer...but her lips wouldn’t budge to form words. Instead she left the wave of tears stream down her cheeks mixing with the pool water. She was embarrassed, hurt, and frustrated.
Lumiere sighed, pacing a bit in front of a door before slowly knocking on it. “Uh… Excusez-moi. Are you, by chance, open for someone else to spend a night? Things are… Interesting in my room right now.”
SITTING by her bed, Ariel watched whatever was on the television. Letting out a soft giggle she lightly tapped her knees. As someone knocked on the door, she jumped some before scurrying over to answer. Opening the door she noticed a somewhat familiar and friendly face. Hearing his request, she smiled and nodded motioning with her hands for him to come in.
