Venom, still awake at 3am: If you work on a farm and your job is to take care of the chickens, you are a chicken tender.
Eddie, eyes wide staring up at the ceiling:
Suited Scruffy Sam

One of the perks of getting older is getting to have a say in the family gossip
There's that.
Alright, so I have an unusual sleep schedule...
And my grandmother, who is extremely old fashioned, and I were talking about it last week. And she told me something I think most people don't understand: she said, "you work until 9pm, get home at about 9:45 and then have to have dinner and wind down. Winding down takes longer when your brain has NEEDED to function until at least 10pm to accomplish what needs to get done. Add to that that there are chores that need to be done in your home like laundry, dishes, and cleaning; on a good day, that means your brain has to function until 11pm. Don't let someone make you feel bad for not getting to fall asleep until 2 or 3 am and then getting up at 11am to get ready for work. You're working a full time job and taking care of your home and yourself, that's tough with any sleep schedule, but you're making it work with yours. Honey, do what's good for you and sleep as long as you need to to be well rested." And I think that's super important for people to hear.
They took all the pop music. And made the perfect pop song. I am in awe.
@nerdkru
holy shit. editing on point.
Even I, who generally is not a big fan of modern pop music, must admit that this is fantastic. Genius.
mAN THE CHILLS
On February 20th, 2016, just over two weeks before my 22nd birthday, I moved out of my parents' house. I had gotten my first ever full time job and moved an hour and a half away from everything and almost everyone I knew to be independent and prove to myself that I could make it on my own. My best friend and & I have apartments in the same complex and we've been looking into moving into a house once our leases are up. I got off of work tonight, after an okay day, and this text was waiting on me once I unlocked my phone. My best friend, her boyfriend, and I will be moving into a house on our own and will be sharing the financial responsibilities and chores of our home. This time last year, I was struggling to make it from one part time paycheck to the next and I was extremely sad all the time, although never clinically diagnosed with anything. I was stressed to the point of crying almost daily complaining that I couldn't make my next car/insurance payment every single pay period. I didn't know if I would have enough gas money to get back and forth to work, either. As I type this, I sit in my apartment and I realized something: I AM MAKING IT. I might not have the job I want, I may not have the college degree I was hoping to have at this time, and I may still struggle financially from time to time, but I am making it. I have a full time job, my own place to live, and a best friend that gets just as excited about getting a house with me as I get about getting a house with her. You may not understand why this is so exciting for us... let me explain. This is literally a dream come true for us. We've been best friends since 2003 and have always talked about "when we get a house together". NOW THE TIME IS HERE. We are picking out dining room sets, living room sets, bedroom sets, and decor for our home and neither one of us could be anymore excited about this. We're already planning out meals, how we're going to split the bills, and who gets what bedroom. The moral, or point, of this entire story is to never give up. It doesn't matter what your dream is that you're looking towards, never give up. It will get better. You may feel like where you are is a dead end, but it isn't. BETTER THINGS ARE COMING. ALSO, I LOVE YOU.
I had a guy over to my apartment to watch a movie and he started getting too handsy. Then he wanted to make out. I politely told him I didn't want to do that, I wanted to watch the movie. All of a sudden he had to got "make sure his car didn't get towed". That's was twenty minutes ago. I checked, he left. A GROWN MAN DIDN'T WANT TO HANG OUT WITH ME BECAUSE I WOULDN'T MAKE OUT WITH HIM. This is why I don't trust guys anymore.
SERIOUSLY?!?!?!?!?
Story time friends: A couple of weeks ago my car overheated on a short road trip. I was literally five freakin miles from my destination when it happened. So I pull myself off of the interstate and turn my heater on and put it on full blast as well. Meanwhile, I call my best friend crying because I'm freaking stressed (I JUST GOT MY CAR PAID OFF TWO MONTHS BEFORE IT CANT BREAK ON ME NOW). She was on the same road trip in her car but about thirty minutes behind me. So she's all like "we'll be there soon with a jug or two of water and it will be okay". They get to me and get the water in my reserve/reservoir/whatever you wanna call it. Meanwhile, my best friends boyfriend is refilling the water jug and "putting it in my car for me". I KID YOU NOT THIS IS THE CRAP I FOUND WHEN I GOT IN MY CAR. HE FREAKING BUCKLED IT IN. I LOST IT.
