Its coming...Next monday the 14th!
On Monday March 24 fellow Resident advisor Liam Davis and I held a program titled “Back To Basics". The program was a presentation from upperclassmen of different majors telling their stories of success to help guide and inspire our residents. Our 4 upperclassmen speakers were Willie Thompson ('16), Obasi Etienne ('15), Theodore Davis ('14), and Curtis Hooks ('14). Representing the majors of business, psychology, chemistry, and biology, they shared their advice on achieving success during ones college tenure. The residents then indulged in a Q&A with the upperclassmen, some making connections that will help create a stable four year plan. The goal of our program was met. The residents now have connections with some top ranking scholars in their respective fields of study. Being a month away from the end of school and finals this was a good way for the residents to help get new resources in preparing for the end of the year. We are all here for our education and for some this was a wake up call but overall a refresher on why we come to school, and thats to be successful. - Mike Curry
"Whose Line Is It Anyway?"
Taking it back to November 2013. My friends Jordan Gleaves, Charlie Wiley and I put on a program that was based off the popular early 2000's improv TV show "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" . The program was held in the lobby of Perdue Hall. It was a really fun and hilarious program that brought a diverse crowd of students. Some that had done improv before and some that had never even heard of it. We did different games like the "Freeze" Game where you make a scenario and an audience member calls out freeze while the scenario is being acted out. The audience member then takes the position of one of the actors and completely changes the scene. This is just one of the many games that we played.
The lobby soon became full with eager participants after they observed the other performers. It was a fun night for everybody and I'm glad that we could bring a little improv fun to Morehouse's Campus. Look out for Pt. 2 coming next fall!! :)

A photo from a few weeks ago when i first moved into the hall. Having casual conversation with some residents about school, life, and a slew of other topics. My first real introduction to their different personalities and awesome energies that bring such a great dynamic to the hall. 3rd floor is the best! 😊
Welcome
