@curvative-conservative
On Sunday my pastor was telling us many Christians have made an idol out of the abortion issue and these Christians have become mentally-ill by voting Republican only because of the abortion issue and no real Christian would vote for the Republican party. He told us to vote for Democrat candidates and now he's been very happy and making very political posts on his Facebook. Should pastors even talk about politics at all at the church? It feels like politics divide people way too much.
Abortion is the murder of the innocent who have absolutely no choice at all. The Bible is against this as well. Your pastor is not a good pastor if he believes abortion is fine. This is how a true Christian votes:
VOTING AS A CHRISTIANWhat does it mean to vote? It means to vote or select others to the stewardship of your general welfare. It is the implementation of the will of the people recognized by the majority under the law. As a Christian we are commanded to vote. As Christians we should be voting for good people. By voting we determine the kind of men that will lead us. I am to take the candidates that are running for office and pick the one with the most Biblical worldview. 1. Vote for the Candidate who backs Israel2. Who defends the unborn children?3. Marriage is between one man and one woman.I am not a Republican or a Democrat. I am a Monarchist. I believe in King Jesus. But I have to make a choice on who I am going to vote for. I am looking more as a candidate that follows the Biblical worldview the closest. But God gave me a brain and He gave me a Bible and that is what I will use to make my decision. Then I will leave it in God’s hands. If you don’t vote you will get the government that you deserve, and you will have no right to complain.
It is the responsibility of every Christian to vote and to vote for leaders who promote Christian principles. God is most certainly in control, but that does not mean we should do nothing to further His will. We are commanded to pray for our leaders (1 Timothy 2:1-4). In terms of politics and leadership, there is evidence in Scripture that God has been displeased with our choices of leadership at times (Hosea 8:4). The evidence of sin’s grip on this world is everywhere. Much of the suffering on earth is because of godless leadership (Proverbs 28:12). Scripture gives Christians instructions to obey legitimate authority unless it contradicts the Lord’s commands (Acts 5:27-29; Romans 13:1-7). As born-again believers, we ought to strive to choose leaders who will be themselves led by our Creator (1 Samuel 12:13-25). Candidates or proposals that violate the Bible’s commands for life, family, marriage, or faith should never be supported (Proverbs 14:34). Christians should vote as led through prayer and study of both God’s Word and the realities of the choices on the ballot.
Christians in many countries in this world are oppressed and persecuted. They suffer under governments they are powerless to change and governments that hate their faith and silence their voices. These believers preach the gospel of Jesus Christ at risk of their own lives. In the U.S.A., Christians have been blessed with the right to speak about and choose their leaders without fearing for themselves or their families. In the U.S.A., in recent elections, about 2 of every 5 of self-professed Christians took that right for granted and did not vote. About 1 in 5 self-professed, eligible Christians are not even registered to vote.
In our day and age, there are many who want to drive the name and message of Christ completely out of the public arena. Voting is an opportunity to promote, protect, and preserve godly government. Passing up that opportunity means letting those who would denigrate the name of Christ have their way in our lives. The leaders we elect—or do nothing to remove—have great influence on our freedoms. They can choose to protect our first amendment right to religious freedom and the right to spread the gospel, or they can restrict those rights. They can lead our nation toward righteousness or toward moral disaster. As Christians, we should stand up and follow our command to fulfill our civic duties (Matthew 22:21). If I were you I would run not walk away from the church you are going to now!!! I hope this helps you!!! God bless you!!! Maranatha!!! ♥♥♥
looking at everyone who was harassing leftists on here about voting–
the election’s over, what are you doing to stay politically active? Have you reached out to your local activist groups? Have you figured out what upcoming protests are being planned? Do you know the location of the nearest ICE detention center?
I expect you all to be as passionate about change and the importance of everyone’s participation today as you were yesterday
liberals that harassed everyone to vote on election day, the day after:
We’re the best

liberalism was a mistake
If you like socialism so much, move to Lazytown and see how much you actually like it. Fucking idiot.
Texas elementary student nails it.
Excellent point Ben Carson
Somewhat friendly reminder:
I am not required to share the same views as you simply because we share the same gender, sexuality, or race.
Independent thought does not constitute as a form of “betrayal,” “selling out,” “pandering,” etc.
Important
I’m only bitter about the Hollywood scandal thing because for years if you talked about elite pedophilia you were either called a crypto-fascist or an antisemite or what the fuck ever and only now is the left willing to jump on the bandwagon now that they can make a point about men in positions of power while they ignore the women doing the same thing
Just a small reminder
this is such bullshit
No, hon, its true.
Whats bullshit is that SJWS support one of these groups.
I mean I hate to agree with a cliche but Islam is a medieval cult that, like Nazism, on average hates Jews and gay people.
