Tonight was something special. I ran a free queer self defense seminar. It wasn't a whole lot of people, but there were a couple young trans kids. I was able to reach them how to defend themselves effectively, how to break free, and how to give themselves the best chance at getting away.

This is a bit of a dream come true for me really. There was also talk of lessons. Gonna teach our younger siblings how to kick some ass 💪💪

Today marks 37 years old and 4 years into my transition.

This was me 4 years ago. 3 weeks on HRT 33 years old.

This is me today.

Since this blew up, I wanted to take a moment to say something very important.

This isn't just a post of what HRT can do. It is meant to show the power of choosing you. Starting your transition is a radical act of self love. A catalyst, but that alone isn't enough.

The woman you see is the product of 4 years of work. I quit drinking, I quit smoking, I went to bed earlier, changed my relationship with food, and started moving again.

None of which was easy, but I kept something in the back of my head this whole time. That if I choose myself a little bit each day. To drink the water. Eat the veggies. Go for a 5 minute walk. That it wasn't nothing. What it really was is small moments of radical self love.

Choosing to transition is such a realization of power. The power to choose what is best for you. Carry that with you every day. However much you can. Whether that is doing an hour long workout, or just going to bed 15 minutes early. Choose you radically my loves ❤️

Typing this out so that my brain can process it.

Last night while walking home I heard a very loud crash from a vehicle. I turned and looked to see what, at first, appeared to be a car that hit a curb. It wasn't, it was a cyclist.

Myself and another person rushed over. Got him clear from immediate danger. He was pretty bad, Il spare you details but, it wasn't good. So I held down his legs so he couldn't move, and began calling 911.

The person who hit him was there understandably shaken to her core and calling 911 as well. Once more people showed up to help keep the cyclist from moving I went to check on her. We will say both parties in this accident were in shock, and understandably so. I did my best to help talk her through the moment until help arrived.

This wasn't my first traumatic accident, far from it. I tend to end up in the time and place. But what really struck me is how absolutely non extraordinary this situation was. Just a sunny Wednesday on a random street corner. And what was said over and over was "I didn't see him".

And it's not that I don't believe her. I honestly don't think they saw each other. I think they were probably thinking about what they had to do later, or whatever stress was on their mind. What is poignant here is it is a moment. Less than a second. A sudden crash and now their lives are forever different. Any random moment. No matter how mundane. Can suddenly become a defining moment of your life.

And that shit is scary. But it is also powerful. Any moment no matter how mundane it may seem, can become the start of a new chapter. That doesn't just have to apply to accidents, or tragedy. It can be for good. It can be for that dream you have always wanted. It can be that change you never thought was possible.

I hope they both are able to grow past this. And I hope the cyclist makes a full recovery. And I hope you, who read this, don't let a moment pass you by today. Because every moment has the potential to be any moment.

Hey I have a really hard question to answer and if you don't know to that's fine! I need to do a little framing so sorry. I used to be a very very active person, built roofs for work did groundskeeping for fun, hiked as a hobby, spared with friends. I have gotten very very sick since then to the point where even with the muscle mass I built up from that doing 2-3 pushups feels impossible. I barely have the energy to walk a quarter mile and it takes multiple hours for me to do so and I have no sense of balance anymore at all so I have to walk with crutches.

Is there any kind of exercise I can do consistently that's like low effort that isn't just stretching against the bathroom counter for 10 minutes or so? I'm tired of not being able to do anything and I want to hear ideas.
