i though my mom was kinda used to the idea of me being queer by now, seeing as i came out to her when i was 14 and i’m now a college graduate

but i brought it up yesterday, she looked very uncomfortable and said “ok let’s stop talking about this now”

i feel physically ill

why can’t she love me for me?

this feeling is also why i hate people who write heated rivalry off as smut

like, it’s not much spicier than any straight shows out there. i’d argue game of thrones was worse in that regard

but also, hearing Yuna apologize to Shane makes me tear up every time. bc i know i’ll never hear it from my mom. seeing david be so kind and perceptive the whole time makes me think of my sweet dad. everyone deserves to have someone like that. if you don’t, then the show can help

i just think it’s a very important piece of queer media, and i hate the way straight people treat it

so i work in utilities, right? well, i got mildly (mildly!) electrocuted at work today and for a few minutes afterwards, i could only speak german

i just remembered a time when my brother was in high school and looking for jobs. he applied at this ice cream shop that was apparently christian-owned, and when he got back he said “they asked me what my favorite song was???”

my mom asked him what he told them, and it was some iron maiden song. my mom snorted and said, “yeah, you’re not getting hired.” and he never did hear back from them
