My apologies...
My last few days have been ridiculously crazy with traveling, apartment hunting, work, and getting my p’s and q’s in a row in order to graduate in 10 days and begin practicing medicine. That being said, I’ve been very slow about getting to my drafts and such. I still have a presentation to complete for tomorrow before I log on and get to things, but I’m trying.

“So what happened then?” Michonne crossed her arms over her chest, waiting for the man to speak. He and Glenn had had their differences, mostly owing to the Alexandrian’s cavalier attitude outside the walls, but to actually shoot another person?
“I lured him out of Alexandria. Neither of us were meant to be outside the walls. Once I found him, I shot ‘im, and I was gonna put him down. He disappeared before I could. He we got into a fight, and he almost killed me. He went against it though.” Nick put his head in his hands.
Listening to Nicholas, Michonne felt an anger bubble up inside her chest. What had he been thinking? To intentionally set out to kill a member of their group. “If you’d have tried that with anyone else from our group, you’d be dead,” she said through a clenched jaw. It wasn’t a threat. Just a simple fact. He had to realize that they weren’t the sort of people who forgave readily. Life on the road - the world outside of Alexandria was quickly becoming a kill-or-be-killed sort of place. “So I’d consider myself damn lucky.”

Lilly looked down at the man that had promised to take care of her and her family. The realization that everything had been a lie washed over her like cold water.
“H-he promised,” she whispered as she looked towards the woman beside her. He had promised so much and had just put an end to her daughter like she was nothing.
Michonne had promised the man that now lay dead in the field outside the prison’s main gate that she would kill him. She hadn’t made that promise lightly. Not after Woodbury. Not after Andrea. Her grip on the handle of her blade relaxed as she let her focus shift to the stricken-looking woman standing near by.
“His words meant nothing,” she practically spat. “He only said what you wanted to hear. Nothing more.” A sharp glance over her shoulder revealed the thing she had feared since the gunfire began. A herd of walkers was closing in on their location. “Are you armed?” She wished no harm upon the woman, but she wasn’t about to flee the prison - not before she knew if her family was safe.
Working my way through Michonne’s drafts. Not sure how many I’ll get through seeing as I’ll have to head to bed early, but at least it’s something! :)

“Rick had to have known that, right? You don’t think he would actually do something like that without knowing the extend that it could cause?” He had to have known that, they had to leave their trust with him, Rick knew what was best for them; Most of the time. “Who even know anymore.” The woman countered the mute hole lingering Michonne’s movements, they all had scars and secrets, rather they choose to voice them were the meaning of truth. Rosita knew sins just as well as any other around here, no matter blood, death, lust. How they grew after was the point which split the living part from their souls.
Rosita pushed herself up from the bedside, bending over Rick she cupped the man’s rough face, tilting it towards her. Her other hand fell back and took a handful band-aids, placing them along his slow temple, to bold cheek bones, thumb rolled the stamps flat over skin. Honestly it was a good old game of stick as many as can on. Freezing stiff as eyes inline wide, pacing up to meet with the others, part of her pondered over words, but failed to stop them. “We all have lost parts of ourselves, for better or worst. Do you think they were for better?”
“To be honest, Rosita, I’m not sure what he was thinking.” Michonne’s mind wandered to Pete’s wife, Jessie, but before she’d finished the thought, she’d pushed it away. Rick had continually put the group’s best interest first and made the hard decisions since she had first shown up outside the Prison’s fence with the case of baby formula. “But I trust him.” Implicitly. “And he needs our support.”
Michonne continued to watch as Rosita finished patching up his face. That glass window had really done a number on it. He was lucky to have Rosita. Lost in watching, she almost missed the other woman’s question. “Hmm?” she asked, buying herself the time to process. Her mind immediately flashed back to Michael, to the way Andre had felt in her arms, to the feeling she got standing up in front of a Jury, or seeing a new art exhibit for the first time. “I don’t know -” she mused outloud as her thoughts shifted to the way Rick looked to her for counsel, to Carl’s blossoming maturity and the sound of Judith’s laugh, to the way her Katana felt in her hands - “I’m still me. There’s just more of me now.”
Almost uncomfortable with the open air between them, Michonne shifted up to her feet and paced the length of the room. “Have you talked with Sasha since yesterday?”
“You should be sorry,” Michonne teased, a lilt of sarcasm in her voice. A small, tired small tugged at the corner of her mouth and she gave the fire a sharp prod with the tree branch she’d been using to stoke the flames. “Did you sleep well, at least?” There was no jest in this question, only concern. The past few days had been hard on all of them - Carl especially.
“I was lying on a stick the whole time,” the boy replied, rubbing his neck, eyes drifting over the woman. “My back hurts– Are you tired?” It wasn’t an honest question, more like an askance of worry. There was only so much they could do when they were exhausted and Michonne seemed to always be awake; Carl couldn’t help but fret over her.
“Well that wasn’t very smart,” Michonne jested, a small teasing smile playing at the corner of her lips. In front of them, the largest log in the fire pile began flickering as the flames began to consumes its bark. “And don’t you worry about me. I’ll sleep later.” The boys concern both warmed her heart and left a pang of sadness within it. He didn’t deserve any of what had happened. “They can’t be too far - we’ll find them.”
