He wasted no time in his goal to try and gather as many allies as he could for their fight against not just Marcel but possibly one of the most powerful witches they could face. There was no way they could win with four witches and a handful of werewolves. To his knowledge, there wasn’t even a hybrid left to back them when there was an army the first time they took Finn out of commission. They needed to be smart and they needed to at least try to find Evelyn. She was Klaus’s right hand, a ride or die type for the Original hybrid. She was also one of the oldest vampires that lived in the city, meaning she was stronger and faster than even Marcel. He had seen her in action once and knew that it was better to have her on their side. It wasn’t a comfortable feeling, wanting to use someone like a weapon but he had a feeling that if she was still alive, she’d be angry enough to not care.
“He’s right here,” the witch announced as he walked up to Charles, eyeing his setup. There was no telling if this would even work, if this witch was actually able to do the tricks he peddled in this shop. “This is a great place,” he slid his hands into his pocket and looked around, “Even I can feel the power here and I have no link to the ancestors.”
“Finally.” Charles hopped off the headstone then looked around when he commented on the power. “I suppose so.” He shrugged a shoulder. “Did you bring anything that belonged to them? It won’t work without it.” He went to inspect the group nearby and growled a little to himself when it seemed like it wasn’t going to be broken up any time soon. “Hey! I’ll give you twenty bucks if you move on.” Charles waved the note at them, it worked and soon enough they had complete privacy.
“What? You’d rather we be ratted out?” He grinned at the other witch and lit the candles that were placed in a circle then hopped in the middle of it, holding his hand out for the object. “The ancestors will definitely not approve of this and there might be a bit of interference.”
