the first thing that pops up when you google wuthering hights is that disaster of a movie where they made heatcliff into some sex god and everyone else wanting to sleep with him especially isabella who, in the book, is abused by heatcliff is presented in the movie as his submissive wearing a collar around her neck, it’s so disgusting and for it to be called improvisation this whole time and then switch book covers with the movie cover is something else… i’m sure movie producers and writers could just write something new themselves instead of completely destroying the classical pieces of literature that are standing the test of time for centuries
