The BIC Boy, created by French graphic designer Raymond Savignac, was introduced in 1961 and is still used today. The image is of a school boy, his head replaced by the tungsten carbide ball of the ball point pen. BIC now makes everything from razors to lighters, but the BIC boy is still there

A patch depicting "Dashing Dan" the logo of the #LIRR which first debuted in 1956. Dashing Dan was painted on locomotives, equipment and promotional items. He was complimented by a weekend version of himself in more casual attire and in 1962 he was joined by "Dashing Dottie" his female companion. The logo began to be phased out in 1966
