"Relax, would you rather I look good or like a hot mess?" Lara mused puckering her lips and looking herself over one last time before coming out of the bathroom and glancing at the boy. "See, isn’t this better?"
"I'm sure you look equally as lovely either way," He sighed into nothing, turning to the bathroom door as he heard her exit, "See? Positively radiant, just like an hour ago."
draftin errything im gonna log on my other acc real quick then i gotta go shopping
Wren pulled her bottom lip in between her teeth, raising her eyebrows. “I’ve definitely thought about it, but I’ve never went as far as asking a stranger about it, like yourself.” She mused, shoving her hands deep in her pockets to try and preoccupy herself, something was off about this stranger, way off. “I’m not really sure how I’m supposed to feel about this conversation. —Are you insane?”
Bash nodded in satisfaction as she admitted to thinking about it, his hand raised in dismissal, "Why not? Strangers are the best people to ask, what do you have to lose, right?" He asked, chuckling shortly with a curt nod, "Aren't we all a little bit insane? I think I heard that in a movie or something once."
"let’s go sebastian! –– - He’s hot, he’s mean and he’ll make you scream!”
Maybe that sounded wrong. She just found her cheer outfit from high school.
"You look positively ridiculous," He's only saying that because he couldn't come up with a clever cheer in response, "Where did you even get that?"
"I have to go downtown and buy some incense cause I ran out and my house can’t smell bad, Then I have to clean out my pantry I’m sure you can help with that, you like food right? After that I have to do laundry… I hate being an adult.”
"I'm sure your house won't smell bad just because you don't have that funky stuff burning at all hours of the day. As long as that food isn't rotten and bug infested, sure. Why don't you just get a slave or something?"
text: we need to talk
It’d taken her nearly two hours to get the words out, her hands shaking too much to concentrate on anything but the overwhelming sense of dread weighing down on her shoulders. More questions than she could count riddled her brain, like why weren’t they more careful? How would he react? What were they gonna do about this? God, she was screwed. Beyond that, probably, considering the fact that she wasn’t even close to prepared for something like this. Marisol still felt like a child sometimes, so how the hell was she supposed to take care of one of her own?
She’d taken three separate tests, each plus mark only further impaling her with the news of her worst nightmare coming to reality - she was pregnant. Out of wedlock, out of love, and apparently out of luck. Her entire body trembled with the conclusion she’d finally come to, desperately searching for the right words to tell her friends, her parents.. most importantly Bash, who would undoubtedly be just as shocked by the news as she was.
And she was gonna get fat. So, so fat. Groaning, Marisol collapsed onto the nearest couch, bringing her knees up to her chest and wondering how much longer she’d still be able to do that while she waited for him to arrive.
Bash's eyes moved from his bowl of muesli to his phone as it vibrated against the bench with a new text message, lazily trailing his fingers along to screen to open it. "We need to talk," He read aloud out of habit, blinking blankly at the message a few times before letting out a groan, his head softly hitting the marble bench. He'd heard the same four words enough times over two hundred years to know that they never came with good news.
After a few minutes of sitting crouched over, he moved his bowl to the sink, deciding to get the talking over and done with as soon as possible. He cleaned himself up slightly, pushing his stupidly long hair back and out of the way before heading for his car. He couldn't deny a feeling of approaching danger in his stomach as he made is way to Marisol's place. Choosing to second guess his intuition as always, he pushed any ridiculous idea of what was to come out of his mind completely.
Sebastian had to give himself a pep talk to manage his way out of his car, letting himself in once he'd decided he probably had nothing left to lose. He moved slowly into the home, glancing around, his eyes finally finding her. He sat opposite her, his posture slumping immediately, his legs spreading out in front of him as he kept his gaze on Marisol.
"What did I do?"
“Sesbastian? What- are we old age vampires now? I swear, the names in this place.” It was another recognized but formal name to add to the list of those belonging to the people of the house. Someone shouted for her inside, but she ignored their calls, focusing on.. Sebastian. “Oh, honey. If only I could discuss the details.”
"Sebastian," He repeated in confirmation, nodding his head once, letting out a laugh under his breath, "Something like that," Dismissing the fact it almost sounded like an insult. He turned at the sound of a shout, glancing back at the girl, "Was that for you? Won't you get whipped or something for not responding on hands and knees?" He smirked directly at her, "What am I going to do? Go dob us both in?"
”I hate to be the person to judge,” No she doesn’t; she’s just saying that to make her words seem a bit less harsh, “But maybe you need to see a psychiatrist — if you’re really thinking about that.” But she’s not even going to admit that she’s thought about it, although, she has thought about killing herself more often. That’s personal.
Sebastian narrowed his eyes slightly, his lips curving into a small smile, "Perhaps," He drawled, continuing out of amusement, "No one has ever annoyed you to that point? Wouldn't it be funny to hit them over the head? Hard." He tried not to laugh at himself as he relaxed into the conversation, "I think it'd be easy to get away with, too."
She really hadn’t been staring, or at least, she hadn’t thought she was. She was really just looking, admiring, almost. The way his hair pushed back and showed his eyes made Evelyn’s hand itch for a pencil, so she could capture it. “Excuse me, I wasn’t meaning to be rude…” She said, pulling her bottom lip between her teeth.
Sebastian couldn't help but feel bad from the moment she opened her mouth, "Oh, no... It's okay, I was just kidding." He tried to brush it off with a laugh, "Normally people don't respond so nicely to that."
"Oh no! You didn’t sound weird at all, honestly." She pauses. "Thank you…for saying that, I— yes. Thanks." Now you sound weird Elizabeth.
"Alright. Okay, then. Good, you're very welcome." Bash laughed under his breath at the girls response, extending his hand, "Sebastian."

“I’ll be out in a moment.” Lara spoke as she fixed herself up in the mirror. The girl took a deep breath, staring at her reflection, this had been long awaited and she was ready. Beyond ready.
"What does a moment mean in girl talk?" Sebastian sighed, settled against the wall, "What's the hold up?"
