Unity's New Pricing Model Drama

Popular game engine Unity has announced its new pricing model, which included runtime fees -- special fees charged per install, in addition to additional fees for sales prices. However, this resulted in some massive drama.

Many developers and gamers were angry, because it would affect many popular games. However, some developers have decided to look for alternative options such as Unreal Engine.

They also decided to do this retroactively, meaning any existing games would be affected. This of course made things even worse. This could hit VR users the hardest. There was also speculation that this could affect the pricing of free-to-play games such as Minecraft and Fortnite.

As a result of this controversy, some players have been sending death threats, and even attempting "swatting" attacks against the company and its developers, to make matters worse, which prompted Unity to close down its offices.

Secure your email accounts ASAP

You read that correctly. Roblox released a new update called "Email Me a One-Time Code" which hackers can easily use to log in to your account, if your email is ever compromised.

This feature lets you log in using a one-time code, which is sent to your email. By clicking the button highlighted in the screenshot above, you get an email with the code which you are asked to enter. You can then log in using this code. However, this code is different each time.

If your email is not secure, and you do not have 2FA enabled, then your Roblox account is at greater risk of a compromise. If you are a top developer who collects player information such as scores, trade data, or other details that are used for gameplay, you will need to secure your account and your data.

Have you ever used Dall-E to create and use thumbnails? You can do this on Roblox as well.

You can create images using models such as GTA and App Icons. This is useful for things such as app icons, preview images, etc.

You spend Image Tokens generating images. However, these tokens are refillable, and can be redeemed via code.

This is an example of what the generated image looks like. By the way, this is not photoshopped, and it is certainly not from a third-party application. This is a sample image that I randomly came up with using the prompt "Hello Kitty Wearing a Pink Dress" something you find in an actual image.

I only spent 7 tokens. Again, these are refilled periodically.

The image shown above is the result of me typing "Jacksepticeye drinking coffee" using the Featured "Simpsons" model. As you can see, this model appears to understand the hair color, and other features. This popular YouTuber, however, does not appear to have a mustache as it should show in the AI-generated image. This is what it SHOULD look like

By the way, this was found using Google Images.

I certainly do not want any copyright issues when it comes to AI generated art. However, to avoid any of these issues, I do not intend to use any artwork like this in my games. Roblox already provides its own AI system right now.
