Intro post, woohoo!

Hi, my name is Cyan (friends can call me Chia). I’m aroace bigender and I go by he/she pronouns.

I’m a writer and artist and this is my whump sideblog — I love tormenting my ocs (putting them through the Horrors) and I’m very excited to finally be a part of this community <3

My favourite tropes include: Immortal whumpee, robot whump, shock collars/electrocution, gore, mind control, winged whumpee, whumper turned whumpee, mock executions, conditioning, bad/reluctant caretaker, stockholm syndrome

Things I do not write: Nsfwhump (I do suggestive themes occasionally, though), anything involving pregnancy or children, team whump, huge/tiny

WHUMP DICE!!!

Saw this post about combining whump tropes and just knew I had to make a little tool for it!

While not dice in a "traditional" sense ( would have loved an actual rolling animation) this acts as a pair of dice with ( so far!) 15 faces!! So you click roll and get two tropes to mix and match as you please! Feel free to drop suggestions in my dms, ask box, or the tags for this!!!

whumpee characterizations ? and what it takes to break them

thief whumpee: silver-tongued/ can't keep still/ uses humor as a coping mechanism-> gagged/ stress positions/ a casual whumper whose indifference immobilizes whumpee

royal whumpee: stoic/ proud/ seeks revenge after their imprisonment-> forced to kneel/ public humiliation, dragged around like a trophy, collared, branded etc/ enough scars to look like a constellation on their skin

healer whumpee: kind/ keeps up an image for the sake of others/ skilled in their trade-> pushed to the edge/ others have to take care of them/ hands or fingers so badly damaged they'll never be able to help anyone else again

innocent whumpee: naive/ trusting/ hopeful-> "no one is coming for you"/ left to die/ a whumper who twists whumpee's anger against their friends

bitter whumpee: apathetic/ shrugs off what they've been through/ exhausted-> "I'm fine." followed by collapsing/ vivid flashbacks where they wake up screaming/ refuses to fall asleep after their ordeal

leader whumpee: independent to the point of isolation/ tries to protect everyone/ mentally well-adjusted (mostly)-> set up to fail/ forced to hurt their teammates/ they come back changed, and everyone avoids them

villain whumpee: defiant/ insults whumper every chance they get/ so many failed escape attempts-> non-con drugging, left a shadow of their past selves/ conditioned to obey/ kneeling next to whumper at a press conferences

a trope I love and don’t see nearly enough: when a battle/fight breaks out but nobody bothers to free the prisoner.

whumpee is just stuck chained up or tied down while chaos erupts around them. perhaps dangling from the ceiling, or locked to the floor on their knees, all while getting grazed with arrows or bullets that just barely miss them. or maybe they don’t miss.

whumpee getting pummeled into when one assailant body slams another. someone else’s blood spattering whumpee’s face when one stabs another.

the captivity has left them so weak. maybe they’re barely conscious of the commotion around them, dazed eyes flitting over flying fists and spattered blood.

do they cry out for help? is there anyone they can trust here? do they dare? does anyone care? can anyone even hear them over all the commotion?

are their friends trying to rescue them? or is it just another team who wants whumpee to themselves? if their friends are trying to save them, whumpee is now they’re just stuck watching their friends get hurt by whumper’s goons and being unable to do anything about it but cry out to them and tell them they’re sorry. they shouldn’t have come. they’re so sorry.

terrified whumpee yanking at the restraints and begging their friends to turn back. that it’s not worth it. to leave them here and surrender, retreat, to escape while they can before they end up just like whumpee, chained up and useless and utterly helpless to whumpers whims.

I like the idea of a whumpee panicking when they see their friends coming to rescue them. they know there’s no chance they’d win, not against whumper. that was the only solace whumpee had, that at least their loved ones were safe, and now they’re watching that slip away with every team member captured before their eyes.

the guilt, the panic, the helplessness, I love it all.

The whumpee had been captured and tortured before, and they thought they had a good grasp on how to keep themselves together- but the whumper was so much worse than their last captor. The whumper knew how to get under their skin- they knew what to say to make them break, and they were so much worse when it came to their torture methods.

Scar tracing is such a tender staple between caretakers and whumpees but what about scar tracing between whumpers and whumpees?

Whumper running their thumb over a scar they made on whumpee with the same reverence they'd give a piece of art. Admiring their handiwork, or deciding it isn't prominent enough and they'll need to remedy that.

Whumper running their thumb over an old scar they're not responsible for and getting deeply jealous or bothered because Whumpee is their plaything.

Alternatively, Whumpee tracing Whumper's scars and coming to terms with the horrifying realization that they're beginning to feel something softer for Whumper.

Drugs

Imagine Whumpee was knocked out by some sort of chloroform from the start, they wake up with that crazy headache and they can’t focus their eyes. It is scary as hell, I’m telling you!

Then you also have paralyzing drugs that make it so hard or impossible to do something as easy as lift your head, or blink.

The terror of not being able to move you limbs and not knowing where you are is a nightmare, even the groggy feeling makes the fear climb up.

Whumper would be able to do whatever they wanted to Whumpee for hours, perhaps even more if a second dose was given. Whumpee was a helpless little doll at Whumper’s mercy.

Then you have drugs for during the torture process, in this case pleasure drugs. Ones that make you feel so high in the sky you almost don’t realize you are being tortured in the first place.

The pain is the last thing on Whumpee’s mind, they are just chasingthe pleasure feeling, before long they start to associate the pain with pleasure as Whumper slowly weens them off the drug. Whumpee now begs torture, they wanted it more than anything.

or they alternative, Whumper suddenly stops giving them the drug and they realize how much pain they are in and they are thrown into a state of shock and confusion.

Whumper saying that it shouldn’t hurt if they were immortal and something about they were made for this. Mentally whumping Whumpee into thinking that they don’t deserve to live so long and be free, they are selfish if they think they deserve anything they are given.

Hears a friendly reminder to mentally scar your whumpees so they don’t have a personality to come back to if they ever escape.

The whumpee had been fitted with a shock collar that the whumper used liberally. sometimes it was after the whumpee had broken a rule, other times it was random, just so the whumpee remembered that it was there. The whumper didn’t want the whumpee to be comfortable- obedient yes, but they liked seeing the whumpee suffer regardless.
