Me: (Desperately attempting to deflect the topic) They are rather boring this year. will that be your only drink today?
Customer:(Ignoring me and all but physically steping onto a soap box) Its a clear and obvious attack on Christmas!
Me: (Absolutely done with this shit) Would you like to try our Christmas blend?
Me: Our Christmas blend, the coffee blend we make every year in honer of Christmas specifically for those who celebrate Christmas? Would you care to sample some?
Me: Oh, well could I interest you in a Yule-calendar? It makes an excellent, festive Christmas present. The packaging is even shaped like a Christmas tree!
Me: Perhaps you’d like me to turn up the volume on this next Christmas song on the all Christmas song playlist? I’ve been listening to it for hours and hours already today so I practically don’t even hear it anymore and I’m starting to wonder if it isn’t loud enough to be heard at all.
Customer: ….no I can hear it just fine…
Me: AH, lovely. Could I ask your opinion on something. Does the Christmas-themed window decals we’ve put up all around our store seem at all crooked to you? I’m not sure we got them just right.
Me: What do you think about all the Christmas cups we’ve put up? Or the Christmas-tree ornaments? Or perhaps one of our many Christmas themed gift cards? They make lovely gifts for family members, co-workers
Me: Right, perhaps another time. Would you like cream in your coffee?
