Got hit with my own theory on the existence of the chainsaw man to dog girl pipeline.
My next book is going to be on how BDSM helped me process past trauma memories caused by cis people.
Been reconnecting with a bunch of people from various stages of my life over the last year. Mainly it's been them somehow refinding me online and starting a conversation. The main consistent thing all of them have said is how much light, love, care and compassion I had, that I'm amongst the most inspirational people they've met that's truly left a mark on their lives. All of these messages I'm too scared to reply too due to a myriad of thoughts and feelings
I'm just gonna bullet point them all here
All through that time we knew each other I was holding in so much hurt and pain that there's no way I could have been the person you're thinking of.
The me now could never live up to that person's "legacy".
You all in someway abandoned me and that's the reason why we haven't spoken for year.
Why now, why are you all contacting me now saying this? What happened?
Whenever I've thought back on our friendship I always remembered it fondly, but now my rose tinted glasses are knocked off. All I see are people who took advantage of the kindness I radiated and used me to a certain degree.
No wonder I have a laundry list of abandonment issues.
None of them have been trans people, all of them have been ciswomen.
Thanks for the compliment, but now I realise what was happening I don't think I have the ability to reply.
Some of you were only here for the LGBT ally status, look at my quirky femboy friend "oh you couldn't tell, I know right?" I kinda flirt with them too cause it ticks this low-key lesbian experience curiosity I've got going on and I can just tell myself their still a guy so it alright.
Some of you fondled my fake tits and my albeit great ass without any consent. Just thought you had the right to grope me anywhere anytime because "it's how us girls are treated"
Nobody ever talks about how predatory cis women can be, it's all transwomen are the true predators we're just innocent women who you can easily over power. Like, erm no, strength has nothing to do with it. People can manipulate others into believing what they are doing to you as normal. I repeat, "it's how us girls are treated", saying we have an excuse to physically abuse you in public whenever we want because we feel we have the right over your body. "I'm sorry I outed you to my friend, it'll never happen again" Regardless they outed me and now I have to live with this whole fear of not knowing who knows an intimate detail about me and who doesn't. The only way to conquer that fear was outing myself to I didn't live in a constant state of paranoia all the time. The classic show you off to their parents probably for shock value leading to having to navigate a whole awkward conversation about my sexuality, gender and genitals with their parents because "they're just curious" and "have never met someone like you before" essentially saying we've never got to see a true freak like you in the wild before and now we're allowed to grill you with any questions we desire because you are entertainment for us. I'm so done with that talk, having to just justify my existence to complete strangers. Just leave us alone, let us build our own communities and just stop having a say on our rights the lot of you. It's honestly all we want and you just keep taking pieces from our bodies because we're not human to you.
Erm ooops like cis people are great, honestly. Just encase I accidentally hurt any of their feelings. Y'know how they're been such a good ally over all these years, championing my journey on from the sidelines without ever engaging over the years!
The problem I have with AI art now, outside of any arguments about intellectual property, effort, or "creepiness," is that its success is still measured by whether it can pass as fully human-made . AI art was most compelling to me when it was more imperfect--that picture that confused a prompt of salmon in a river with salmon meat, those hazy dreamscapes generated by neural blender. Art movements are often informed by technological breakthroughs, and the possibilities and limits of a new medium--see the ability to paint outdoors and impressionism, or acrylic paints and post painterly abstraction. The medium is the message. I just wish more people making or consuming AI art viewed the limits of the medium and the mistranslations between human minds and algorithms as something to work with and explore, rather than a bug to be fixed.

Oh lord, when she kisses her handā¦
i dont think tme people get, or ever will get, how deeply affecting the experience of transmisogyny is. will elaborate later.
okay I drank more coffee and Iām ready to get into this.
so transmisogyny is the intersection of transphobia and misogyny, which should be obvious but some people donāt like to listen. its another layer of oppression past the transphobia that transmascs have. every transfemme Iāve talked to and befriended has had some experience with feeling predatory for having feelings for someone (generally affects trans wlw more) or infantilized themselves and acted very gentle and passive in order to not feel as though theyāre predatory. (Iām still working through the first one and used to deal with the latter)
weāre taught to be afraid of our own bodies, especially our genitals. itās as if weāre monsters for being women born with penises, as if that in itself makes us gross. thereās a reason that all the transphobic bathroom arguments come down to a āman dressed as a womanā preying on women. this goes a million times as far for black trans women, who have the added intersection of blackness. that paints them as even more masculine and aggressive despite how far that is from the truth.
I developed my eating disorder because i felt like my body was too big and masculine, that i would look more feminine if i were skinnier. thats obviously something cis women face, but its not the same for us. weāre told we have male bodies and that we need to make ourselves smaller to fit in with āreal womenā.
weāre excluded from womenās spaces for ānot having the same experiencesā or āinvadingā or whatever other transphobic reterric they want to use to allow trans men in but not us. weāre alienated from trans/LGBT spaces due to the heavy focus on transmasc and tme nonbinary people in discussions of transitioning. for every 20 resources on how to bind and its dangers i get on my dash, I see 1 or 2 on tucking and its dangers. for every 20 binder giveaways i see Iāve never seen a gaff giveaway. I bet some of you donāt even know what a gaff is. (its what we use to tuck)
the amount of times Iāve seen jokes about men in dresses, the amount of times iāve heard words like femboy and tranny thrown around by tme people as if theyāre not harming us by doing so sickens me. every time you make genderbent fan art, draw a guy looking embarassed in a dress, or make a femboy friday joke, you are contributing to the stigma that follows us wherever we go.
Iām probably gonna lose followers for this and get told in the notes āI would reblog this but your tone is so aggressive :/ā but I DONāT CARE. WE USED OUR POLITE VOICES AND YOU DIDNāT LISTEN. BLACK TRANS WOMEN BUILT THIS COMMUNITY AND NOW THEYāRE DYING ON THE FUCKING STREETS. WE AS A GROUP, ARE BEING TURNED AWAY FROM HOMELESS SHELTERS AND BEING JOKED ABOUT ON THIS AWFUL WEBSITE. ITāS OUR BLOOD ON YOUR HANDS.
Not to mention the fact that people barely understand anything about our transitions. I almost never see any kind of informative posts about what to expect from hormones/surgery/etc., and even the doctors that prescribe my meds hardly seem to know anything about them. The six page long informed consent document I had to sign to get my hormones listed like a hundred possible effects, all of which came with a āthis may or may not happen weāre just kinda guessingā disclaimer, and Iāve STILL found TONS of things that no one EVER told me while they were busy stressing over and over that Iād probably be sterile after a while.
Did you know itās not uncommon to lose a shoe size or two? Or to shrink a couple inches because your entire pelvis rotates after a while (which hurts like a motherfucker, I might add)? Or that itās very possible that youāll suffer some of the symptoms of PMS every month even though you canāt menstruate? Did you know your tastes in food might change because your sense of smell changes? Probably not, because barely anybody researches or published information on this stuff. And who even fucking knows what you can expect after surgery because hearsay reports vary wildly and thereās basically nothing out there.
It gets so much harder to stay healthy when itās so hard to find information on how our bodies function.
reblog this version actually
I want to expand a bit on the part about TMEs using transmisogynist slurs and making ājokesā with them because I donāt think TMEs get how pervasive transmisogyny disguised as ājokesā is, both in media and in social groups (yes even āprogressiveā ones).
Any time I think about watching a new movie or show, reading a new book or comic, or playing a new game, I either have to look up if the piece of media is transmisogynist in some way (which is itself difficult because so many TME people either donāt recognize it or just donāt care and donāt talk about it) or I have to mentally prepare myself for having my gender being used as the punchline of a joke and treated as something worthy of ridicule, and have slurs against me used casually. No this isnāt just older media, or just anime, like some people like to pretend, itās everything. And even the less bad representation (because none of it is good) still usually treats us as not fully women and not fully human, and either uses very clunky but well-meaning language, or just calls us āpart male.ā And on top of all of that, we then have to deal with TME non-binary people and trans men trying to claim characters that were made to be transmisogynist caricatures as their own. Itās not enough for media to call you an inhuman man in a dress, you have to watch TMEs go āyes, thatās sooo me XD.ā
But itās not just media we have to worry about this shit in. Pretty much every community Iāve ever been apart of, including queer and āinclusiveā ones, has repeatedly had transmisogynist ājokesā in it. And every time it happens, you have to weigh whether itās worth saying something and getting ostracized, or just have to continually see people you thought were friends throw around slurs without second thoughts. TMEs take the oppression we face every day and use it for cheap jokes and quirky new labels for them to try on before moving on to the next fad.
It does not matter if you are also queer, or also trans, or donāt think what youāre doing is harmful, if youāre not a trans woman, shut the fuck up and listen to us when we talk about transmisogyny.
