‘Dear God, the Parthenon is still broken’ is a photographic vignette by Yorgos Lanthimos. Although created on the set of the film ‘Poor Things’ in Budapest, the book inhabits a separate world, untethered from time and place.

Vibrant threads weave geometry across hems and cuffs, along side panels, backs, and the shin of pantaloons, crowning headdresses with splendour. The bodice of the Bani Saad women is often left unadorned, creating space for layers of silver jewelry and ornate belts.
