Ok, so. I went on another (unplanned) break... this time it lasted FOUR years. I’m now 24 and still living in the UK, and was inspired to play Sims 2 again due to being stuck in the house quarantined bc of COVID-19, so silver linings, yeah?

I’ve managed to wangle an actual Windows laptop so so f**king long to my crappy Mac and constant crashing and glitches 🤪

ANYWAY, the point of this post: after 4 years is there still anyone out there? I’d love to follow any other maxis match players that are still going so plz do like this post (or whatever it is you do, I’ve also not used Tumblr in 4 years so 🙄).

ok, so, I’ve been playing Pleasantview for the last two weeks or so, had finally redecorated everything and given everyone makeovers, I was well into the second generation and then I decided “oh I NEED some more cc” so I added it to my folder, loaded up my game AND ALL MY GAME IS CORRUPTED AND ALL MY PROGRESS IS LOST. Fuming is not the word, I wanna cry a lil bit, I was so happy with how everything was going cba

HELP - Families have vanished!

The Sims 2 Super Collection for Mac is gonna be the death of me I swear! I've been playing Riverblossom Hills for the past couple of days, loaded up the Wan house an hour ago and Patricia and Cleo were there with two neighbours, however my new CC wasn't showing up so I quit the game, messed around with my Downloads folder and reloaded the game - this is where it gets annoying! Two families have just disappeared from the neighbourhood! I loaded the Wan house back up and the girls were where they were before (mid pillow fight/water balloon fight) but the neighbours were missing (the girls were still mid animation and when I unpaused they just snapped back to not doing anything)... the neighbours were also missing from their relationships panel - wtf?! So I left the house without saving back into neighbourhood mode and whaddaya know?! Both the neighbours are missing with their respective houses empty (but still decorated how I decorated them) and they aren't in the family bin... HELP ME! I have no idea what is going on, I never experienced anything like this when I played on Windows 😭

3 years later...

So, after a 3 year (!!) long hiatus I decided to purchase the Super Collection for my Mac and for the past 5 (!!) hours I've been madly trying to find all my favourite CC whilst also trying to remember how the hell Tumblr actually works (20 going on 90, I swear...). After 5 hours searching for CC I have given up and decided to just boot up my old Windows laptop and copy it all onto a USB *sorry not sorry*. SO! Does anyone actually still play Sims 2?
