If my mutuals can’t rb this then we can’t be mutuals
Obviously. I’m trans. We share an umbrella!
Love watching movies with people who are autistic about different things than I am. Last week a friend and I were watching Twisters, and he said, those are going to turn out to be good guys. And I said, how do you know? And he said, because their truck brands are owned by the same equity company as the main character's.
Read Right to Left - CW: HEALED SCARS
I think it's heavily implied that Kris self-harms, and I wondered what scars could turn into in the dark world. Got a little carried away with the colors on this one but i really like how it turned out :3
EDIT: yall please don't go into detail about your self-harm habits in the comments or reblogs It's fine to talk about relating to kris here but just remember i can read everything yall write ^_^
based on a post i saw :3
happy tdov my loves. don't let anyone else define your transness for you.
help trans women evacuate gaza
Fuck personality tests. Who comes to your mind when I say “Michael”
Shitty parents will guilt their kids about how much they have to suffer to put a roof over their head, like having kids was the only reason they had to grudgingly give up on a lifelong dream of being homeless.
btw I know ppl on this site go on abt mutuals but if you are someone that shows up in my notes regularly who I don't follow, I do notice and I am fond of you and if you reblog something from me I do think "YES I have pleased the follower with good taste"
The real reason behind the life series, obviously.
Just in case any of you are wondering why I seem to have become so much more hostile, aggressive and unlikeable lately, we just got a functioning AC unit in our apartment like a week ago. And since the temperature inside the apartment has gone down to habitable levels, I've actually been able to do things like eating food and sleeping properly, so I've got a lot more energy to be a huge cunt.
Hey real quick PSA: If you have food allergies TELL RESTAURANTS. I know it’s inconvenient and sometimes people are shitty but for real, please, tell waitstaff it’s allergy specific, don’t just order it without the allergy ingredient.
This was brought up in my mind again since my step-MIL would get furious if someone presented her with a food she couldn’t eat with her Crohn’s but she’d never told them in the first place what she couldn’t have or how severe her reactions were.
When I worked at the pizza place a ton of people would order pizzas without cheese for a variety of reasons, but only occasionally would they say it was because of an allergy.
This one day a white lady came in and ordered three pizzas with no cheese. I have no explanation for why I followed up, especially because she was extremely moody and snippy. But I asked, “Is this because of an allergy?”
“Yes,” she snapped.
“If it’s for an allergy you should know we do use a small amount of cheese in the red sauce as well. Is the allergy severe?”
“What? Yes, he’ll literally die, his throat closes up and stuff.”
I stared at her. Someone she was serving pizza to would die on contact with cheese? And she didn’t even bother to tell us that?!!?? Why in gods name was she even in a pizza place???
“Don’t you have anything without cheese?” She demanded.
I ended up doing a garlic rubbed crust with toppings.
I had to scrub down all the counters and surfaces and grab fresh bins for all the toppings to try to avoid any cross contamination and the extra time made her roll her eyes in exasperation. Like I’m sorry safety protocols are inconvenient but I hope this person you’re trying to murder leaves your life.
But anyway. Please be safe. Disclose your allergies.
I do food inspections as part of my job. During our state wide training they ran us through multiple allergy incidents that had led to the death of an individual. We were reading the full coroners investigations of these deaths.
Some of these had gone to court, and verdicts had been issued, predominantly fines rather than jail time.
The number one rule of allergy management, which was hammered into us, is that the person with the allergy is responsible for alerting the venue. The venue CANNOT be responsible for any harm if they were not told.
As in, there is a full, investigation that I had to sit there and read, in which a woman chose not to tell the venue she had a nut allergy. She didn’t have her epi pen with her, because she ‘didn’t like it cluttering up her purse’. She was holidaying in a remote town, with no hospital, only an on call nurse in a limited medical centre.
Unfortunately, this woman died as a result of her allergic reaction. The location she ate at was considered not at fault, as she hadn’t disclosed her allergy. The single on call nurse was praised for her incredible work under difficult circumstances, and considered not at fault.
Under the law, we can ONLY take action if the venue has supplied food that was incorrect. You’re allergic to peanuts, you order a peanut butter parfait, you eat it, you drop dead? That’s a you problem.
I’ve worked in commercial kitchens, one of which was at a summer camp. Low funding, not a lot of staff, an allergy list a mile long and yet you bet your ass we had not one single allergy incident. One kid was anaphylactic for gluten and eggs. Do you know how many things in a commercial kitchen have touched eggs or gluten? Fuck me, there’s a lot. We deep cleaned that kitchen beyond all reason. We allocated a special bench, and kitchen equipment. We allocated a particular staff member just for that kid’s food, who touched NOTHING ELSE during cooking.
he definitely fucks but there’s no way he fucks normal
man c'mon
If you put a dish in a dishwasher, it gets washed. If you put a shirt in a dishwasher, it gets shredded and breaks the machine.
If you put a shirt in a washing machine, it gets washed. If you put a dish in a washing machine, it gets shattered and breaks the machine.
Maybe you are not weak. They just put you into the wrong washer.
let’s defy the prophecy together.
