I realized why I enjoy knocked loose's screaming style so much. It's just that it feels genuine and actually emotional. Like, that boy is genuinely angry and scared and desperate. I love singers who growl and do gutturals or whatever but you know they're doing it for artistic purposes or to elevate the song. With knocked loose, and high pitched screaming in general, it feels like literal catharsis and organic as hell cause most people (particularly women, but men too) we usually get high pitched when we scream at someone out of pure anger and frustration.
