Archiving Choices: Stories You Play by Pixelberry

Hi everyone,

Some of you may have already heard of Choices' recent takeover by a rather questionable company that produces AI-generated TV shows, following over a year of using AI-generated content in all of its recent stories.

Unfortunately, it's quite apparent that Choices is following the footsteps of Lovestruck in its final days, where bad content is resulting in consumer boycott and a dwindling fanbase, which means that its shutdown is also now highly possible. Some people over at r/Choices and r/ChoicesPreservation have expressed an interest to archive the game, just like our community did almost half a decade ago.

They have no solid team or blue plan in the works yet, but some of our experienced members from LS Salvation Squad are already over there helping them get on track, using their prior experience with archiving Lovestruck.

It’s a visual novel/dating sim with seven unique routes, each with six seasons fully available (~1M+ words total). The main character is a bisexual woman from Chicago with two female and five male love interests. Alain's route is complete.

Helena Klein will always be a curiosity to me. From her sprite to how characters describe her to her being the main evil woman to her sexual relationship with the Witch Queen, Helena was designed to be a femme fatale.

But, like, she's not.

Even before Altea and Helena's routes made her this deeply tragic figure with trauma around sex, she was always defined as practical, curt, and a formidable sorceress. Even when she was obsessed with the Witch Queen/MC, the relationship felt like a struggle for power more than seduction. Was Helena intended to be sexually provocative and they changed direction? Was "femme fatale" a shorthand for a female general?

The inner workings of Lovestruck haunt me to this day.

Also mc shouldve gotten more fits. Shes literally in the capital, in meetings, either in armor, or the equivaisnt to sweat pants. Idk in whose route she said that, but she did. This is also me just really liking fantasy fashion.
