The halls were dim. The person was lead down, two larger agents on their side as they were slammed through the double doors.
It was cold, ice cold. Siberia wasn't a great place during winter. The base was cold and mean, you can feel the energy from everyone inside. Cold stares, an eerie crudeness to them even.
The lull sound of heels echo down the hall. One of the doors opened up, revealing the tall woman. Her curls swayed around, a bit of a dull shine to them. Bright red eyes glaring ahead, the Siren walked in as she waves the agents out. Leaving her alone with the person.
She hums a bit, the peaceful sound of a lullaby hits the person hard. Making them sway back into the chair. She began to strap them in, locking them down.
Her painted hands shoved their head back. Slamming their head into the metal backing. She got inches away from their face. "Now then...." She eyes them over as she pulls back. She kept her humming up, making sure the person in the chair stayed underneath her hypnotic melody.
Fear. Poisonous fear. The type of unsettling feeling that demanded the upheaval of all stomach contents. If the victim survived the first wave of horror, the next would be hell. Deeper than hell. Biting air forced those feelings to be put on the back burner. The nip of small, sharp teeth ripped skin away from the very muscle keeping it attached. Nerves unraveled, too overwhelmed to keep sending out the signals. Nothing could survive this place, not even the innocent person being marched down these suffocating halls.
White walls flanked each side; a reminder that there is nothing to live for outside the regime. Each terrified breath plumed into the air, evaporating the second it hit the subzero air. Zoë never thought she would find herself in the Serbian winter, flanked by emotionless guards. There was no negotiating or pleading. Soldiers didn’t brutally kidnap people if Command didn’t order the seizure. Blood dripped down her cheek from where she had been slammed into the plane. It dripped onto the flawless white floor, staining it.
A door clicked open, giving way to a plain room. Something so dull turned dangerous. Fighting back was a hopeless option. It had been from the beginning. Thought, she wondered if being shot dead was better than surviving. In front of her, a metal chair with straps taunted her. The place where her humanity would melt away into a lifeless toy. A toy for people who inflicted the greatest pain on people who got by on scraps in desperate attempts at survival. One of the soldiers nudged Zoë with the butt of its gun. She hesitated, her body wavering. To relinquish would mean complete submission to the enemy, but to hesitate would mean death. Her eyes raced back and forth until a blow to her back caught her off balance.
Zoë crashed into the metal chair, whining as cold metal met her face. It cut into her warm flesh like a hot knife to butter. Meat tore away from bone, leaving the top of her nose exposed. She hissed, writhing to sit upright. Another click, and the soldiers who had battered around had fled. She breathed a sigh before biting her lip at the appearance of the woman. Warm, copper blood leaked onto her chapped lips. Well, she was expecting warm. It was cold when it arrived.
Just when Zoë thought the worst was over, a hypnotic lullaby wormed its way into her head. She used her waning willpower to fight it, but it wasn't enough to keep her battered body from moving. Her eyes glazed over, giving no acknowledgement to the restraints being tightened around her. A strained whine came from her as her head slammed into frozen metal, but no further complaints came.
Sienna tilted her head at the child. The two have never crossed paths. Her eyes shook softly as she kept up her act, Strucker had a fascination with enhanced humans, mutants.
This child fit perfectly into his category of needing to know more.
The Siren walked over as she sat. Keeping them in the hazy state, keeping them in the comfort state. Easy to manipulate if needed, it had to feel like this.
"Let the rain run down. Let the sun be gone. Let you remember this will be your home now." She sang out cruely. Like a stepping stone to welcome Zoë into the chaos.
There was no use in fighting. It took too much energy the Siberian winter wouldn’t allow. It swallowed every piece of body heat produced by living. The devil's smile dancing in the howling wind. It was enough to have anyone bowing down. And if they didn’t, then the devil’s demon in front of Zoë would do it for him. Words flowed in and out, weaving their way through the control centers of the brain, disabling electrical signals. Every command wasn’t a moral decision, but rather life or death. Sacrificial. She couldn’t clue it together herself, but she was the sacrificial lamb. Why not use an omega-level mutant to see how powerful a biological weapon they were? A child would be easier to use and more potent. More agile. More likely to cause moral dilemma in enemies.
Zoë hummed the siren’s song, having no willpower to stop. Was this life? To forever be taken advantage of by people who thought one was useful, only to be discarded like trash when new opportunities arose. Maybe so. But this Spitfire was new. Shiny. Fresh blood with raw, unrelenting power.
Sienna tilts her head as she smiles. Curls swaying as she thinks, her boot taps on the floor as she allowed the voice to settle.
Strucker slowly came into the sterile room. His eyes gleamed as he watched the magic touch work on Zoë.
"This is what we need. This child will be a perfect mole inside the mansion..." He walks behind the child as he tilts her head side to side. "And it worked...."
Siren moves her head as she grew quiet. Watching as he didn't touch the child more after. He walked over to her, rubbing her head as he smiles. "Fantastic job my dear...."
Agents came in, gathering a hypnotized Zoë. Pulling them along as they dragged the teen to a holding cell. Labs and tests had to start right away.
The voice settled, the words laying on the soft pink cushion that was Zoë’s brain. Her eyes had glossed over, and she blinked slowly like a cat. So this is where life had led LeBeau. To be a pawn in someone else's game. The entirety of the X-Men probably went on reconns searching for her, but Hydra has taken the tracking device off of her first thing. After that, the signal went dark, meaning Zoë became MIA. But she didn’t particularly care, only waiting for cues specific cues.
She let her head be tilted, her red eye trailing Strucker’s face. Something is her eyes read as disdain, but otherwise, her expression was blank. The soldiers didn’t surprise her, the well padded men dragging her out like a sedated animal. Back down those blank, cold halls with her blood staining the floor. Blood still trailed down her face, but it had slowed.
The holding cell proved to be nothing more than a steel bench bottled into concrete floors. Old blood splattered the walls, a sure evidence of brutality. She stared at her hands. The well painted nails chipped significantly. Her skin had paled in these harsh conditions. A part of Zoë didn’t want to follow these men and their orders, but the rest of her had been partly conditioned by the Siren.
Sienna eventually was settled into the cell. Her eyes shimmer like rubies in the dark. She was watching as the child was laid down.
The guards locked them together, keeping them locked in. Perfect, this would help the conditioning process.
"Stay on your best behavior... You won't be hurt as much..." She whispers. Her eyes shut slowly as she leans into the cold wall. Resting for a moment.
Those words. Those ghostly whispers of a pain free experience send fear descending down Zoë’s spine like an avalanche. They were lies wrapped in a neat bow. An intensive. But not enough for the amygdala to hibernate. Being tied to this witch spooked her enough, but she had stayed still, allowing her eyes to gloss like a corpse. This was different. A mistake on Sienna’s part. Had she said nothing, this might have gone differently.
Her breathing heightened, the water droplets evaporating as they rolled off the tongue. Silence allowed the hum of equipment to buzz incessantly before being interrupted by shrill squeaks.
“Daddy! Momma!” Zoë mewled like a kitten whining for its mother. A mother that didn’t know where its kitten was.
She squirmed, her weakened form struggling against Sienna’s. White hair fell into her face, rendering her nearly blind. She couldn’t push it, and it felt as if the Siberian winter was suffocating her all over again.
“Momma..” She whispered, her jaw quivering softly.
Sienna just watched. Her eyes shook as she took a deep breath. Hating how the child stared at her.
She was calm again. As she hums a lullaby. Trying to lure her to sleep. Trying to keep her knocked out. She was processing this. Trying to stay in her head. "Just sleep."
Just sleep. It was a simple command, but one that slipped through the cracks. Sienna had been praised earlier, but now it was crumbling faster than any empire. Fear was stronger than commands. Than words. A spooked horse didn’t calm when its master sung out a string of jumbled speech patterns.
Zoë’s pupils were blow wide, and she stared at the Siren with a disdain she showed Strucker earlier. The song didn’t drown the buzzing in her skull. It didn’t drown the longing for her mom and dad. Each jerk of her muscles pulled the locks apart, especially with the help of her powers. While not visible, it did enhance her capabilities. Or maybe, it was adrenaline, because Zoë was in a collar. Either way, Sienna lost her catch.
“No!” She roared out, biting Sienna in the face. Mutants always found a way through the impossible.
Sienna stomps her foot into her face. Pushing her off. "Guards!" She roared out.
Multiple swarmed in, yanking Zoë off the Siren. A few began to hold her close, stabbing a drug to her neck.
Sienna glares as she had a bleeding nose. Her eyes glaring as she had a sour frown. "She's gonna be a liability... Better off dead..."
She stood up as she didn't care about the bleeding. Her boots thud as she looks out to the hallway. Strucker storming over as he noticed her injury, a shake of his head as he waves her off. He'll handle her later.
Her steps echoed out as she leaves. But, the Soldier, that wouldn't be good for Zoë.
Wisps of white turned a damning red as Zoë took rushed breaths. The broken nose didn't do her any virtues. The swell of her eye didn't stop the raging wrath bubbling within her bones. Mind over matter. And the matter was, she couldn't give in to these Nazi freaks easily.
Sounds of choking, a bubbling of mucus and bile, filled the room. A thief was always prepared, and in the case of having all her personal belongings being seized, there was one thing they couldn't reach. A metal lock pick plopped into her hands, covered in a slime. It worked all the same. Her breathing picked up, the time between now and when those guards would appear being sparse. The lock clicked, the metal collar clattering to the ground. And as fate would have it, some disgruntled Nazis appeared.
Zoë, the hatred of a thousand souls burning in her eyes, and today, it might push over a thousand. She constructed a staff out of kinetic energy, the glittering magenta slamming into the faces of these so-called soldiers. Their heads knocked into the wall, and the volatile energy ripped through their stomachs. Blood splattered the cell, staining the walls with dazzling patters. Organs spilled out of the cavities, mushing to the ground with a big plop. She looked away, trying not to think of the reality. Bits of skin and guts speckled her boot.
Sucking in a breath, Zoë moved out of the cell. It was time to navigate the labyrinth. Face the cold of the Siberian winter.
Sienna didn't think much as the alarms went off. She eyes the Soldier as it sat there with her. Both kept away for now, it was better to losr agents then them.
The cries filled the halls as it echoed out. Blood painted each wall as agent after agent was sent after the teen.
Eventually they gave Sienna the go ahead. Others emptied out as she focused for a second. She'll hate it for a moment. But the halls began to flood with water. The waves of gallons of waters swept the hallways. She focused for a second as she began to push the teen out the base.
She'll be swept out soaking wet into the brittle cold.
Horrid breathing filled the corridors. A harsh hacking echoed throughout the barracks due to the teen’s broken nose. A faint magenta glow plastered the walls, the sounds of pulsing energy wafting through the concrete halls. Zoë looked around, swooping into a room, looking for her item. Her combadge would be helpful.
But before she could grab anything to contact the others —The X-Men, her family— rushing water sweep her away. She flailed desperately, her gear just out of reach. Her head bobbed under and above water, each gasping breath being snuffed by water.
The snow. The snow was pain. Each sputtering breath resolved in pain. Her wounds started to bleed again, and her nose was completely crooked. Adrenaline wore off, and whatever drug they snagged her with kicked in. Her head hurt, the Serbian winter fuzzing. Snow flaked covered her soaking wet hair and clothes. Zoë shivered, her core body temperature dropping.
There was no hope. She could only prey the X-Men could find her. Maybe mom or dad could reach her before she was a Zoë popsicle.

@queen-of-sugah no pressure, but Zoë needs a rescuer. She was kidnapped by HYDRA. She got a broken nose, wounds, drugged, and now is in the frigid Serbian winter while soaking wet :3
It had been far longer than Rogue had been comfortable with. Her daughter, as capable as she is, hadn't reached out. She grabbed the walkie talkie out of @tzedek-l-kulam-magneto 's hands. "Gimmie that! Hello? Sweetie its mama, where are ya? Are ya hurt? Give us a sign anything!" She was done pacing, if she didnt get word now she was gonna go find her herself.
There was complete silent. Only the mere crackle of a waterboarded comm came through. Last know base of location was somewhere near Serbia before it got cut off. As far as anyone knew, the LeBeau’s child could be anywhere in the cold of northern Europe.
And there she lay in the cold snow, slowly freezing to death as ice accumulated on her clothes. Blood leached into the frozen water, dying it a deep red, sort of like a cherry snow cone. Zoë’s skin paled significantly, her core temperature dropping to dangerous levels. The broken nose didn’t help either.
Before anyone could tell her otherwise, Rogue took off like a shot. Serbia kept repeating through her head, she would start there. As she flew Gambit reached her over the coms, telling her to keep her tracker on so they can send backup. She confirmed it all before picking up the pace. "Nobody hurts my baby."
Harsh wind blew over the hills, lifting snow and spraying it across the desolate landscape. Trees rustled against each other, snow sloughing off the groupings of needles. Chills crawled up Zoë’s neck. The drug coursing through her system urged her to sleep, and that wasn’t a bad idea. She had no strength to move, letting frostbite chew at her fingers and ears.
Wispy breaths disappeared as her body temperature dipped too low to produce enough heat. She closed her eyes, allowing the wind to rustle in her ears.
As the Jet zoomed through the sky, Gambit spoke to Rogue again. "Signal ain't the strongest chere, you'll need to fly lower." He growled as he cut out, watching Rogue descend. Suddenly he heard a voice, "We found a signal!" Gambit spun around.

Gambit had rallied the troops, boarding the jet with anticipation. As he gave the pilot the coordinates, he spoke firmly, "Get there as fast as you can and any tech head needsa look out for my daughter's com signal. Gambit dont care how feint it is!"
Zoë crawled over to Anna, sneezing up a storm. She whined softly, Lucifer trailing behind her.
“Momma, I don’ feel well.” She sneezed again, lying pathetically against the couch.
@impulsive-spitfire
"Oh baby you dont sound well eitha." She ruffled through a cabinet for a thermometer. "Here check your temperature, Ima get the kettle goin'". She handed the thermometer and offered a small smile. "And lemme know if ya need mo' blankets sugah"
Zoë took the thermometer, looking at it for a moment. “Okay momma.”
She pressed the button, popping the thermometer in her mouth. She went and sat on the couch, grabbing the nearest blanket.
Rogue set the tea pot on the stove top, looking for her tea bags. Grabbing the honey and some lavender tea, she started to fix a cup. She came back, setting the tea down on the table near the couch. "Lets take a look at that tempature."
Zoë looked up at Rogue, letting her take the thermometer from her mouth. She shuffled under the blankets, sitting up with the thickest blanket wrapped around her shoulders.
She grabbed the tea, taking a sip of it.
“T’anks momma..”
She smiled at Zoë before reading the thermometer. "Oh Sugah, you got a lil bit if a feva. Ima make sure to get you some water and soup." She squated down next to Zoë, "You're gonna take it easy today. Momma gon take care of you, so don be afraid to ask for somtin."
Zoë sipped on the tea, her hands shaking from the chills running through her body. She sneezed, groaning softly.
“M’kay. Can daddy make me somet’in’?”
Anna-Marie smiled and nodded, "I'll go get yo daddy and Im sure he'll cook up sometin tasty for his princess." She kissed Zoë's head softly before going to find Gambit.
Gambit was in his den, looking at blueprints when Anna-Marie came in an explained everything. "Sick?" He shook his head, "Ah my poor princess. Gambit make her some special soup, gonna help her warm up real good!"
He followed Rogue back to the couch, smiling softly at Zoë. "Hey dere Mon ami! Mama says you gotta feva? How'd you like some o Gambit special soup? Make it extra tasty for my baby girl."
Zoë had put the tea down, now sprawled over the couch shivering up a storm. She popped her head out from under a blanket, yawning.
“I’d like some soup. Not’in’ too flavorful. Don’ wanna upset de stomach.”
"Leave it to Gambit mon ami! Papa gon make you a remedy for yo feva!" He proudly strutted to the kitchen, planning on making some simple chicken soup with saltine crackers and water.
Zoë settled back under the blanket, purring softly.
“Okay daddy. I’ll jus’ close my eyes.”
Gambit goes into the kitchen, creating a little get well dish. Its chicken broth, saltines, apple sauce, and water all arranged on a tray. Once its complete he comes back and sets it on the table near Zoë. "Hey there lil princess, you hungry? Papa got some things to munch on!"
Zoë had passed out by then, her chest rising and falling softly. Gambit’s voice wakes her, and she sleepily looked up at him. A sneeze racked her small body, her nose red and runny. Her cheeks were flushed as well.
She pushed herself into a half-sitting position, staring at the soup. “I dunno.. I’ll try t’ eat it. ‘M so sleepy..”
"Well take it slow, and if ya ain't feeling hungry thats okay too!" Remy knelt next to the couch, Anna-Marie behind him. "Is dere anyting we can get ya before ya nap?"
Zoë looked her dad dead in the eyes, reaching out to wrap her hands around his neck and pull him close. She pressed her feverish cheek against his, closing her eyes for a moment.
"I want my stuffed elephant." She whispered.
Nothing shoots a jolt of energy faster than a daughter's request for her stuffy. "Gambit gon get that elephant real quick now, you watch." He kissed her feverish cheek softly before laying her down. He disappeared for a moment before returning with the elephant, who he had walk on her belly making elephant noises before handing it to her.
Zoë giggled at the childish nature despite being almost an adult. She hugged the elephant, laying her cheek against the worn ear. She closed her eyes, taking deep breaths.
“T’anks daddy. Je t’aime.”
He kissed her head softly, "Get some sleep nahw, mama and papa gona be right here whenchu wake up."
Zoë crawled over to Anna, sneezing up a storm. She whined softly, Lucifer trailing behind her.
“Momma, I don’ feel well.” She sneezed again, lying pathetically against the couch.

'Ey dere Mon Ami, mind meeting da Gambit and chere at our place? We wanna discuss somtin witchu - @da-gambit
I can absolutely do so.
Rogue and Gambit were at their home, lounging on their couch. Gambit had sent the message initially because he couldn't take his mind off of Erik helping him kiss his wife. There had to be a way for him to get more of it. Besides, he had chilled out about his wife's former lover. Erik, for a while, was the only one that could hold Anna-Marie's hand gloveless. He cared for her with the same passion Gambit did. "Ay suspec 'e should be knockin' any moment nah"
Erik floated to the steps of the home, the pair had made their own on Krakoa. It wasn't often that the interim head of Krakoa came to the residential area, but a single house visit wouldn't enter the tabloids. He hoped. Emma wouldnt embarrass him like that, right?
Erik knocked on the door with a anxious line across his face.
Rogue got up, smiling as she strut over to the door. "Well howdy sugah! Why doncha cmon in, make your self at home!" She giggled as she led him to their living room. Pictures of X-Men hung on the wall, including Professor Xavier. Rogue plopped next to Remy and patted the seat next to her. "Cmon big guy, we got lots to talk bout!"
Erik towered over her, he always had but he had no issues standing in the home. Like many of the homes on Krakoa theirs was constructed with the idea of room for larger mutants as they were unaware who would be housed where. He doesn't remember if he worked on this house specifically, while they were building.
Erik is pulled out of his thoughts when he is motioned to sit on the otherside of her. He, however is a proper guest, and takes his seat beside Rogue.
"Yes, we have much to discuss."
Gambit relaxed a little, putting one foot on the coffee table. "We been tinking bout our ceremony." He looked at Erik, "Now Gambit know how muh chere mean to you. You know how muh chere mean to da Gambit." Remy drew a deep breath, looking at Rogue who nodded supportively. "Well da Gambit had a taste and nee mo. It unfair to use you fo yo powas. So we tink we wanna open tings up, and offa you a chance to b'more "involved" wit us, oui?"
Max's face fell in shock, his normally neutral mask turned flushed red. "P-PARDON?" he stammers, "that is not something to suggest lightly and the pair of you are just got married. You shouldn't rush things..."
Why was Max denying himself this, Erik was cool and collected, but Max was insecure and anxious. Was Gambit teasing him, trying to test his loyalty? This wasn't anything like his mind games with Charles. Max missed his former lover so much in moments like this.
Anna-Marie smiled and nodded, "Well thats why we're putting this on the table now. Lots to think about." She placed a soft hand on Erik's thigh, "You did the sweetest thing a man can do, and thats let me go and marry my Gambit. But remember what they say about letting something go?" She smiled and rubbed his thigh softly, "If it comes back, it was meant to be." She squeezed Gambit's hand with her other hand. "We can take it slow if thats what ya need sugah, ok? I know this must feel like a lot."
"Annamarie... I dont know about this... It is a lot." Erik places his hand on top of hers, "Remy, are you positive? I dont want a taste only to have to give up on your wife again. "
Magnus placed empathis on 'Your Wife,' hoping he would be denied this gift after reconsideration on Gambit's part.
"Gambit very positive. Gambit was jealous of you because you was ta only one who COULD get a taste o' chere. Gambit ain't one to tear open ol' wounds, see? S'long as ya honest with us, take extra good care o' chere, an' respect what Gambit got with his wife?" He shot Erik his go to smirk, "Den we all in! So why don't we rolldadice on dis?"
"I- don't know." Was all Erik could muster, the anxiety of loving and losing Annamarie again was palpable, a feeling in his chest, a dread that out weighed his want of love.
"I- just dont know if I can do this..." max muttered clenching his fists as they began to shake.
Anna-Marie frowned and let out a sigh. "Its okay sugah, I undastand." She took a deep breath and looked into Erik's eyes, "But just I still hold a place for you in my heart." She offered a soft smile, patting his leg. "If ya ain't sure, ya ain't sure. If ya change yo mind, all ya gotta do is let us know. How's that sound?"
Something flashed in Max's eyes, the want to be chosen- the want to be fought for... the want of Annamarie. "I assume that is all then." The coldness returning to Erik's voice as Max's hands continued to shake.
He lightly moves Annamarie's hand from his leg, feeling no reassurance from the touch. Would they just let him go- would they just accept his refusal... Why wouldnt anyone fight to be with him, why was he always the second choice.
Max's mind began to spiral, focusing on the "fact" he was always the second choice to others. Natalya picked Diego, Charles picked Lilandra, and Annamarie picked Remy. Even in the end Magda chose to follow Nina in death, then stay with him.
Max was always the second choice.
Gambit looked very confused by Anna-Marie and Erik. "Nah hol'on jussa sec!" He looked at Anna-Marie, "Gambit knows we didnt have a whole long discussion bout this jusa have ya let 'im go!" He than turns to Erik, "And you! Mai wife been throwin' herself at ya for as long as Gambit can member. Yous jus gonna walk away afta drawing a pair of aces?" He shook his head, clicking his toung and shaking his head.
"Soona or lata you two gotta realize, Gambit wan you both. With Gambit. Gambit heard so much about how great Erik is from chere, Gambit wanna see for hisself!" He locked eyes with Erik once more, "And you gave Gambit the best gift he ever got. You think Gambit just gonna let that slide? Gambit neva seen such a selfless act of love for chere in anyone but Gambit. You care bout Rogue and you care bout Gambit. Gambit never folds, neither should yall."
Erik stops anger flaring in his heart. "YOU WANT ME?" He yells, the words leave his mouth before he can think, "You have a great way of showing it! " He exhales aggressively, "Why would I want to go back to someone who didnt choose me? Hm? Why would I always want to be second choice. I wouldnt do it for Charles and I won't do it for you."
He slams his hand against his chest, clutching his shirt as if he was grabbing his heart, "of course I would help you kiss her, Remy. It was your wedding day and you were being stupid- I didnt want to see you get hurt; but thay doesn't mean WE have chemistry. Why do you even want me? We have never gotten along. "
"E-NOUGH!" She shouted and stood up, "I CHOSE YOU FIRST ERIK!" Tears began to stream down her cheek as her face reddened with anger. "I CHOSE YOU CAUSE I LOVE YOU!" Anna-Marie panted, catching her breath.
"I turned down Remy so many times, and when I couldn't deny him any longer, you gave us your blessing." She looked at Erik in the eyes, hurt. "Remy wants me happy, you both make me happy, thats why we're here."
"Cause you let me go, and I WANT to come back. With Remy. Erik, do you honestly think I stopped loving you? That I only coasted with you cause you could FUCK me?" She growled again, getting deeper in her feelings. "I fucking love you Magnus, no matter what any one says. I love Remy too, can't a girl have two men? Can't two men understand how much they mean to her?"
After a beat of silence, Gambit looked at Magneto. "Gambit want you because of Anna-Marie." He took a deep breath before continuing. "She talks about you in a way Gambit don undastan. So chere convince Gambit to put aside da pass and trya geta knowya."
It was hard for Gambit to admit all this, but with how Neto was acting he had to. Honesty was the ace up his sleeve. "Don you get it? Dis only got up sides. Don fold dis hand."
"Magneto does not fold." Magnus growled contemplating the words as they roll from his lips. The large man is silent for moments the three adults standing there.
"Charles left me for Lilandra because I didnt want to remain his... side-piece." Max almost chokes out the words, as he continues to speak with great difficulty. "My wives either left me- or died."
Erik sighs, "I'm angry and broken- I have outbursts. I am not a kind man. There are so many reasons why you two shouldn't be with me. We- I cant see us working... you two said it yourselves... love is more than skindeep."
A single tear falls down Magneto's face, "I just dont know I have anymore love to give."
"Than why dont you take the love we wanna give ya sugah?" She offered a soft smile as she wiped the tear from his cheek. "You lost a lot of love, of course you hurtin'. Let us take care of you Max." She looked deep into his eyes and smiled a bit brighter, showing her sincerity.
"Annamarie, I'm so tired." Max's voice is so small compared to his sheer size. His shoulder slump, he becomes small at her touch. "I'm so tired and so lonely... I'm scared to lose you again Anna, I cant handle another broken heart. I'm ninety-five for Hashem's sake."
She took a step closer, pulling him into a deep hug. His head was placed on her shoulder, as she rubbed his head. "Oh Max....I dont wanna lose you again either." Rogue squeezed him tight, running her fingers through his hair.
Gambit smiled and walked towards them, crossing his arms. "Den Gambit gonna make sure ain't no one get lost." Remy took a deep breath and stuck a hand out for Erik.
"Whaddaya say Mags? Why dont you and Gambit put aside our differences, devote ourselves to our woman...." he paused and nodded, "...and to each other."
Max lifted his head to make eye contact with Gambit. "If- you can call me Magnus, Remy... Max will take time... but with your charm I think I might fold to you sooner than later."
He smells Rogue's hair and kisses the top of her head, "Okay Marie- I can try... I just require patience... alright?" He looks between the pair for confirmation.
Rogue's face lit up and she squeed, wrapping her arms around Erik. Kiss after kiss after kiss, "Oh Max! I promise you'll have patience!" She kept kissing his face before settling down and leaning into him.
"Erik, Gambit promises to give you da time and space ya require." He smiled and chuckled at Rogue's reaction. "May take a while for Gambit to get used to you callin' Gambit by his government name." He said half joking half relating to Erik.

"Its okay sugah, I undastand." She took a deep breath and looked into Erik's eyes, "But just I still hold a place for you in my heart."
