Enjoying Fondu with our language partners. Nothing like speaking French while learning how to correctly "dunk" bread into cheese! We praise God for wonderful, godly people who are so patient with us while we fumble through our French.

Packages from home always make our day! Some special friends sent us 2 boxes of KRAFT Mac and Cheese! We would have to pay around $8 a box here for some of this cheesy goodness! Thank you for making my kids smile from ear to ear! :)
Enjoying a day at the Cailler/Nestle Chocolate Factory in Vevey, Swizerland with our cousins! Loved the unlimited free chocolate samples at the end of the tour and praising the Lord for family who live only 2 hours from Albertville! What a HUGE blessing!
We have completed our first 6 weeks of French learning and are now in the middle of our 2 week break. Interesting way the country does school here (6 weeks on, 2 weeks off) and praying we don't forget everything we've learned thus far! (We have been told we are doing well with our French...we have a good accent and good comprehension... so that encourages us!)
Thank you for praying for us and continuing to pray that our minds will be like sponges to absorb this beautiful language! It's excited to watch our girls make friends and speak French too! :)
Here we are... An amazing week of goodbyes, travel, set up and a whirlwind week we shall NEVER forget. Thanks for all of your prayers and encouragement. The girls have done amazing and we are all adjusting VERY well. Can't believe that it was a week ago today that we were commissioned at our home church!
The First Annual Dye'n For Africa Color Run was a smashing success!!! To see all the pictures from it...check out this link:

Let the packing begin!!! Our office is filing up with things to store in my uncle's basement. This is all becoming a reality!?
Emma's last day of 3rd grade....Hailey's last day of kindergarten....Dave's last day of 13 years of youth ministry! June 12, 2014 we are official missionaries!
Meet MALI....some of our best friends got a new puppy and named her Mali in memory of us! :)
We went to prom! (Along with 35 teens in our youth group) Our last annual alternative prom....ending in style...a dinner cruise on Lake Geneva!
Enjoying a Mother's Day tea with Kylie at preschool. A special time as it's our last one in American preschool!!!
We had a great trip up North visiting old friends and making new ones! This is a picture of our family with 40 year retired AVANT missionaries to Mali! We found out they lived in the exact house where we will live in Bamako! Thank you Lord for a special week up in MN and ND and for the special team of partners you have given us up there! (click on the red roadtrip tab to see more pics from our week)
Hailey drew this during "rest time" the other day. Thank you, Jesus, that our girls are embracing the call on our whole family to go to Africa!
Annual helicopter egg drop! It was pouring rain, but we prevailed! The girls had a blast collecting plastic eggs dropped from the helicopter and getting their fill of sugar for the day!
Kylie was just asked to be a flower girl in a wedding in August! She's beyond trhilled and already wearing her sister's old flower girls dresses to practice! We are so excited to be apart of the wedding of one of our former teens here at Calvary who we have mentored for the past 7 years. God has transformed her life and brought a wonderful, godly man to be her life partner. We praise Him that our family will play a part in their wedding right before we move to France! It's icing on the cake as we say goodbye to youth ministry and head into a new style of ministry.
One of four presentations we gave this weekend...there was standing room only at this one! People continue to tell us how touched they are to hear our WHOLE story and we praise God for the way the body of Christ continues to embrace our family and God's call on our lives to full time missions!
Daddy Daughter Date Night at church...theme is SNO. This was Hailey's first year and Emma's 4th year. A very special night for the girls! I guess we'll have to invent our own Daddy Date Night in Mali!?
We took the girls to get their passports today!!! Reality is beginning to set in that we could be in France by August! We continue to rest in the Lord's hands and trust his provision of 100% support by July to make this all possible!
