This is @aristaresident's politics (being generous with that classification tbh) sideblog. You can call me Alex (she/they, 28). I'm a George H.W. Bush simp, Nixon enjoyer (in the way one might enjoy watching a trainwreck), and general enthusiast for Cold War shenanigans. I'm also a selfshipper/yume. Oops.
I think I'm a lil older than most of yall in this space, I've been in the politics/rpf "fandom" since 2012, when I was in high school and started making Obamney edits/fic/art ostensibly as a joke. I had the misfortune of becoming a Nixon girlie in 2015 and that bastard consumed my life all throughout uni (you can see a 9 yr backlog Nixon posts/reblogs in this tag here on my main blog). Back then there wasn't as much of a community on here so I welcome the Posting About 20th C. Politicians Renaissance.
I do not endorse the beliefs/policies of the political figures I post about and acknowledge that they are war criminals. I am a leftist and condemn American imperialism past and present.
