Nanashi is my dispatch oc, they’re a Nue 鵺 (it’s a yokai/mononoke). Nues are shapeshifting chimeras that drive their victims insane by giving them constant insane nightmares- so a normally hostile creature

Nanashi was caught one day and incarcerated by the authorities while they thought over what to do with it. The first choice was to just put them down, but then, as it is human nature, some of the people working on nanashi’s case were like

What if we domesticated the Nue,,,,,,

And idk how to relate not defend him ending up at SDN other than “there’s this thing in America where they try to rehab criminals to become heroes… how different is that from domesticating a very dangerous and unpredictable wild beast……….”

So nanashi ends up in the states not knowing any English not any human social codes

They learn all of that from the z team but more so from Sonar because he was assigned as their main tutor (he graduated Harvard blah blah)

And yeah that’s how those two also meet and bond and stuff

Once nanashi gets comfortable around everyone they kinda turned out to be a jokester/brat? I think that’s the best way to describe it. They’re also just very curious about a lot of things and stubborn at times (they often walk around butt naked in the office because that’s just how they had been living up until recently)
